OutoBox is a program, which was included to 'adware' category. The main reason, why security researchers decided to do that, is the way how this questionable programs may act ant what continuances may be if you add OutoBox to your system. As soon as this program enters the system, it starts displaying continuous pop-up advertisements, that involve such notifications: “Ads by OutoBox”, “Powered by OutoBox” or “OutoBox Deals”. Besides, we have also managed to find more controversial information about this adware. Firstly, this program was developed by a well-known adware developer that is called Super Web LLC. Secondly, in order to display advertisements with tempting headlines, this untrustworthy application may track your online activities and record such information as your visited websites or search queries that you have typed. If you see OutoBox ads when browsing on the internet, you should check your PC for this adware. There is a huge chance that you have agreed to download this program on your computer when downloaded another, most probably free program.
How can OutoBox hijack my computer?
You can download this program from various download websites. What is more, as we have mentioned before, OutoBox virus may travel in a very deceptive method that is called bundling. To be more precise, this potentially unwanted program (PUP) may travel as an additional attachment together with various freewares, sharewares and other free programs. This distribution method still initiates discussions on the Internet because people are hardly notified about installation of two programs instead of one, and additional attachments. Usually, you will be given an opportunity to decline such proposition and prevent this program from entering your computer. However, if you want to do that, you have to pay more attention to the installation process of unfamiliar freewares, and find the checkbox that claims something like that: 'I agree to install OutoBox on my computer'. You should uncheck this checkbox. If you fail to do that, you automatically agree to download this program on your computer. If this scenario happens, you may be flooded with annoying advertisements and experience OutoBox redirects.
How to stop OutoBox ads from appearing on my screen?
Don't worry, this program is relatively harmless. However, as we have mentioned before, if you leave it on your computer, it may cause you many distractions and completely annoy you. If you see OutoBox ads, check your recently installed programs and try to find this pesky intruder. Follow this manual removal instruction, and you should have no trouble eliminating OutoBox virus from your computer.
