What is TopYea Search?
TopYea Search is a browser hijacker that changes your browser settings and initiates redirects

When infected with this potentially unwanted program, you will soon notice that your web browsers do not function as usual and that yeabests.cc search engine was set as a homepage on them. Avoid this search engine and do not try to use it, or you may have to suffer severe consequences later.
TopYea Search is a potentially unwanted program that can change your browser homepage and other settings.
As we have already mentioned, TopYea Search PUP hijacks web browsers, so it comes as no surprise that it is classified as a browser hijacker. The search engine this browser hijacker promotes is highly questionable and hardly provides any relevant search results.
We have discovered that its search results are corrupted and lead to obscure third-party websites instead of opening appropriate websites.
We assume that this browser redirect virus initiates rerouting to certain websites to boost their web traffic to get pay-per-click profit. Unfortunately, TopYea Search redirects can lead the user to dangerous and malicious websites, or simply websites that provide misleading content.
We advise you to take precautions before you end up on safe-looking malicious websites and remove TopYea browser hijacker right now. You should not think that changing the web browser you use will help to avoid redirects. The only way to stop it is to remove a potentially unwanted program from your computer. For that, we recommend using SpyHunter 5Combo Cleaner or Malwarebytes.
If you want to remove the adware yourself, we also provide a TopYea removal guide at the bottom of this article. With our tips, you will be able to get rid of the unwanted program even if you are an inexperienced computer user.
To avoid PUPs, carefully monitor the software installation process
This browser hijacker spreads via various untrustworthy download websites along with other free programs. Computer users often complain that they did not install the TopYea Search browser extension, but somehow it managed to reach their web browsers and affect them. Sadly, everything happens for a reason, and it means you have given your permission to install PUP on your computer. However, it would be closer to the truth if we would say that your permission was silently usurped from you.
Take note that this browser hijacker, as well as other PUPs, can be added to other software and presented as a “recommended download.” You need to opt these additions out via Advanced or Custom installer’s settings. Stay away from Default and Standard settings because you simply agree to install all components your download consists of without even revealing them for you.
If you see yeabests.cc page after you open your web browser, it is clear evidence that this particular hijacker is installed on your PC. For security reasons, we recommend you to get rid of this potentially unwanted software as soon as you can.

How to prevent from getting browser hijacker
Protect your privacy – employ a VPN
There are several ways how to make your online time more private – you can access an incognito tab. However, there is no secret that even in this mode, you are tracked for advertising purposes. There is a way to add an extra layer of protection and create a completely anonymous web browsing practice with the help of Private Internet Access VPN. This software reroutes traffic through different servers, thus leaving your IP address and geolocation in disguise. Besides, it is based on a strict no-log policy, meaning that no data will be recorded, leaked, and available for both first and third parties. The combination of a secure web browser and Private Internet Access VPN will let you browse the Internet without a feeling of being spied or targeted by criminals.
No backups? No problem. Use a data recovery tool
If you wonder how data loss can occur, you should not look any further for answers – human errors, malware attacks, hardware failures, power cuts, natural disasters, or even simple negligence. In some cases, lost files are extremely important, and many straight out panic when such an unfortunate course of events happen. Due to this, you should always ensure that you prepare proper data backups on a regular basis.
If you were caught by surprise and did not have any backups to restore your files from, not everything is lost. Data Recovery Pro is one of the leading file recovery solutions you can find on the market – it is likely to restore even lost emails or data located on an external device.
