Feetwindyoung ads – shady websites that show misleading ads that lead to PUP installations

Feetwindyoung adware

Feetwindyoung is the name of a group of websites that try to trick its visitors into enabling push notifications and bombard them with an enormous amount of ads, such as pop-ups, surveys, banners, etc. There are many variations of this portal, but they differ just by one number, e.g., Feetwindyoung-6.live, Feetwindyoung-3.live, Feetwindyoung-15.live, Feetwindyoung-13.live, etc. The lifespan of these portals is very short. At the time of the research, none of these websites were operational.

But that doesn't mean that Feetwindyoung ads stop popping up when the pages spreading the infections are closed. If you've subscribed to alerts from any of these sites, or you were being redirected to them, that means you have adware or other potentially unwanted programs[1] installed on your device. You can easily remove it with our free instructions posted below but do it quickly because deceptive ads may lead to more junkware installations.

People don't visit portals like Feetwindyoung pop-up or Bellcontaincontinue pop-up willingly. They are usually redirected to them either when a deceptive ad is clicked or a PUP, like adware or browser hijacker, is installed on their devices. These shady pages get revenue from showing ads and redirecting to other suspicious websites.

If Feetwindyoung adware might further infect your device with PUPs by using various techniques, tricking you into clicking their misleading ads. Usually, they have nothing in common with the sites you'll be redirected to if clicked. For example, a breaking story ad might lead to websites with this content:

  • online gambling,
  • adult,
  • gaming,
  • fake updates,
  • PUPs,
  • fake surveys, etc.

So as you can see, it's unsafe to click on any of the ads or visit the website itself. If you're being redirected to it or clicked on any of the ads, you have to scan your device with a reliable anti-malware tool like SpyHunterCombo Cleaner or MalwarebytesMalwarebytes and remove Feetwindyoung ads with any other questionable entries or associated programs, installed apps.

Keep an eye out for potentially unwanted programs in software bundles

Potentially unwanted programs, or PUPs, aren't as dangerous as malware.[3] However, they might still endanger user privacy and security and ruin their browsing experience by covering entire pages with misleading ads. The most common way they're spread is with bundled software.

A good way to avoid them is by downloading your desired software directly from developers, not from third-party vendors. But if you desperately want an app and the only way to get it is from a software bundle, use our guide to evade PUP installation along with it:

  • After downloading a freeware/software bundle, read the EULA to find out all offered apps.
  • Since all programs are preselected for installation, choose the Advanced or Custom installation option.
  • Go step-by-step, removing ticks from the software you don't need (presumably all of it).
  • Install only the app you were interested in in the first place.
