Therecode247.com is one of the thousands of scam websites that use push notifications to try and trick people into clicking on ads or giving away personal information. However, most people don't remember the name of this page – they recognize it because they see intrusive pop-up ads appearing randomly on their desktops.

Push notifications are foreign to most people because the ads shown on their screens are not something they've seen before. In short, users fall for phishing messages and unknowingly subscribe to push notifications, which begin to show intrusive ads later down the road. What is a push notification feature?

Over the past few years, push notifications have increased in popularity, but many users don't understand them. Google Chrome introduced the feature for desktops back in 2015, and other browsers soon followed this trend. Consequently, when visiting almost any website today, you're likely to see a pop-up notification asking if you want to enable push notifications for that site.

Although it offers benefits to both users and website owners, this feature is not well-received by most users because it invades their privacy with unsolicited pop-ups. In other words, people simply don't want to be bothered by notifications that may interrupt the movie they watch or game they play.

According to Mozilla's research from 2019,[1] almost all users did not accept the request to enable push notifications when presented with that opportunity. Getting rid of Therecode247.com ads. Follow these steps

Uninstall from Windows

Instructions for Windows 10/8  machines:

  1. Enter Control Panel into Windows search box and hit Enter or click on the search result.
  2. Under Programs, select Uninstall a program. Uninstall from Windows 1
  3. From the list, find the entry of the suspicious program.
  4. Right-click on the application and select Uninstall.
  5. If User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
  6. Wait till uninstallation process is complete and click OK. Uninstall from Windows 2

If you are Windows 7/XP user, proceed with the following instructions:

  1. Click on Windows Start > Control Panel located on the right pane (if you are Windows XP user, click on Add/Remove Programs).
  2. In Control Panel, select Programs > Uninstall a program. Uninstall from Windows 7/XP

  2. Press Ctrl + A on your keyboard to select all folders.
