What is RadioTotal?
RadioTotal is a rogue web browser toolbar, which is distributed via freewares and may hijack each of your web browser, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer. Even though it is promoted as a useful web browser plug-in, most of the users claim that it causes a serious havoc during browsing. In most of the cases, it hijacks web browsers right after installing another freeware. Therefore, if you tend to install various download managers or PDF creators without paying much attention to the installation process, it's not surprising that RadioTotal toolbar has already landed on your web browser. No matter how harmless it may seem at first, keep in mind that this browser hijacker is closely related to Conduit browser hijacker. Similarly to www-searching.com, websearch.fixsearch.info, genieo.com, it can easily take over your homepage and default search site, and then display altered search results with sponsored links or annoying pop-up advertisements. If you want to prevent RadioTotal redirects to suspicious websites, you should take needed actions and delete this search site from your system right away. Keeping it on your PC poses a high-risk of visiting suspicious and unsafe websites unconsciously. If you want to receive reliable search results, you should rely on Google, Yahoo or Bing search sites since they are certainly trustworthy. By the way, we must warn you that RadioTotal toolbar may even lead you to privacy-related issues. It may install cookies and collect information about you that is treated as personally non-identifiable. In order to maintain cyber and private security, we recommend you to scan your PC with a reputable anti-spyware, such as FortectIntego and eliminate RadioTotal virus right away.
How can RadioTotal hijack my computer?
RadioTotal can be named as a rogue browser toolbar since it claims to enable listening to the radio during your browsing. Unfortunately, you should not fall for believing in such promises since instead of the service that it offers you may start seeing search.conduit.com as your homepage and search engine. You may probably already heard that this browser hijacker is categorized as a very suspicious since it frequently delivers sponsored links that reroute to the websites filled with malicious installers. In order to keep your PC from malicious programs and various inconveniences that RadioTotal virus may cause, you have to be very careful when selecting and installing free software on your computer. That's because RadioTotal toolbar is commonly distributed using 'bundling', i.e. as an 'additional component' along with various freewares and sharewares. Therefore, whenever you decide to install a freeware, you should select Advanced or Custom installation option and check whether it's bundled with various add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars, and extensions. If you find suspicious components set by default, make sure that you unmark them and only then finish the installation. In case RadioTotal has already hijacked your machine, make sure that you get rid of it without any delay.
