This process can appear on your computer after you install Backup Exec Desktop Pro or other product from Veritas. sgtray.exe is responsible for a system tray icon which tends to popup in a form of reminder if you forget to backup your data. Typically, it can be found on task manager and it starts as soon as Windows starts.

Some malware programs use legitimate processes to hide their presence on the computer. In order to check if the sgtray.exe process is malicious, check the location of sgtray.exe.
