I have been unable to remove the Certified Toolbar from Firefox. I have run and tried many anti malware progs, but it always shows on firefox on reopening, (I have reset firefox).
Spyhunter found it (big deal) but did not remove it.
When I open firefox ANVI AD blocker warns of and ad. virus, and certified toolbar will be on the search menu. I have tried EVERYTHING recommended (inc C Cleaner). It just seems to be resident in both FIrefox and IE.
Have you been using PAID version of SpyHunter? If yes, then you can get a free support from its technicians through the program. You should simply go to ‘Spyware HelpDesk’ and have the virus analyzed for you remotely.
If you have been using a trial version of Spyhunter, you will have to try to remove your Certified Toolbar manually. For that, you should start with going to Add/Remove Programs and uninstalling all UNFAMILIAR programs. Besides, we also recommend getting rid of any freeware, which has been installed on the same day when Certified Toolbar appeared on your machine.
Additionally, remove add-ons and fix the homepage on Mozilla Firefox browser:
1. Launch Mozilla and tap Ctrl+Shift+A at the same time. You should see Add-ons Manager there.
2. Go to Extensions, look for the Certified Toolbar related items and remove them.
3. Go to Tools -> Options -> General tab -> Startup.
4. Select 'Show a blank page' when Firefox Starts or set a certain website, like Google or similar.
