You should have noticed .wallet file extensions added to encrypted files; in fact, you should have noticed very long extensions that this ransomware virus appends to all encrypted files - [filename].[original file extension].[Mk.scorpion@aol.com].wallet.
Wallet is the extension used by viruses that belong to Wallet ransomware family. These viruses are closely related to Dharma ransomware, which appends .dharma file extensions to encrypted records. However, while some Dharma variants are decryptable, we cannot say the same about Wallet ransomware virus.
