I know the only solid solution will be to fully reinstall my laptop, but I want to keep that as a last resort.
I kindly ask if anyone knows how I can track down the sniffing software and remove it. I have fundamental knowledge about Software Engineering, so I may be able to follow a guide.
Thank for your time spend reading about my problem.
However, last night my Facebook profile got compromised and I manage to save it before it was too damaged, and again he left a message to me from my profile:
“DID YOU THINK WE FORGOT ABOUT YOU? THESE ARE THE CONSEQUENCES FOR PRETENDING YOU'RE ONE OF US. YOU CAN'T RUN AWAY FROM US.”
We are sorry that you have to deal with this unpleasant and threatening problem. As we can understand, you were able to delete sniffer using malware removal tools before. Thus, you should repeat the same technique again. Sometimes it happens that computers are being hacked with the same cyber threats again. Additionally, you should invest in reputable antivirus and anti-malware tools to give your PC real-time protection.
Furthermore, once you remove Packet Sniffing virus automatically, you should also reset your social media, banking, email and other account passwords to protect your data. Set strong and passwords, and set 2-step verification. It helps to prevent your accounts from being hacked and alerts you about attempts to do it.
Sincerely,
2-spyware team.
My apologies, I wasn't able to express myself, I was in a stressful situation.
What I meant to say that the virus was never found and deleted on my laptop, I was only delusional thinking it was.
The situation I am is that I've scanned with every possible and recommended program such as: BitDefender, Malwarebytes, Nod32, Avast, SUPERAntiSpyware, and nothing were found. I need to say that my Malwarebytes has been always on on real-time protection, even when the attack happen. I also used various programs as Fiddler, Net Balancer, Process Explorer and Process Monitor try and track down the process/service, but was unsuccessful.
The hacker is very good and the only solid solution I see is a full system reinstall, which I hoped to be the last resort.
I'm a Software Engineer myself, but not familiar with hacking and Cyber Security, that's why I've turned myself here for help.
If anyone have suggestion and idea how I can track down this Packet Sniffer or Key Logger, I'll be glad to hear it.
I thank you all for your time spend reading about my problem,
