Hi. I wanted to ask why my search engine which I use on chrome acts in such strange way? When I click any of the search results, I get redirected to suspicious Internet sites. Usually, they look untrustworthy because they urge me to install software updates or enter information because “I need to claim a prize I have won”. I believe that there is something wrong about Secure-surf.com, and I would like to find that out. Could you help me?

Thank you for sending us a question! It seems that your PC is infected with Secure-surf.com virus, that is why your Chrome browser acts like that. Secure-surf.com is classified as a browser hijacker and also a potentially unwanted program (PUP). Once it slinks into the computer system, it alters browser settings so that Secure-surf.com would become homepage and default new tab page on it.
Secure-surf.com redirects you to strange Internet sites because it is meant to promote affiliate websites. Therefore, when you make a search query in Secure Surf search engine and click on search results it generates, it redirects you to a predetermined third-party site that needs to be promoted. As you have already noticed, these sites often look and ARE untrustworthy.
