WinAntiVirus Pro – a scam not a proper antivirus tool

WinAntiVirus Pro is a rogue anti-spyware application, which is created by the same scammers as those who created Windows Antivirus Pro. This malware typically infiltrates your computer via Trojans, such as Zlob, through web-browser security holes, software bundles, deceptive ads, file-sharing platforms.
WinAntiVirus Pro uses scare tactics (falsified scan reports, fake system notifications, a large number of infections detected) to trick you into buying the full version of the program, which is also fake and equally non-operational. Notifications about detected viruses or cyber-attacks, as well as scans, should be ignored.
| name | WinAntiVirus Pro |
|---|---|
| Type | PUP, fake cybersecurity tool, rogue antispyware |
| Purpose | Trick victims into spending money on its licensed version by showing deceptive scan results and bogus infection notifications |
| Risks | Infections with malware, money loss, privacy issues |
| Elimination | You could try to remove this software manually, but we recommend leaving the dirty job to legitimate cybersecurity software |
| System health fix | Undo all changes the infection has done to your system files and settings by running a system tune-up with the FortectIntego tool |
Removal of such software could seem troubling as it frequently doesn't have an uninstall option, and it can disable anti-malware software. But you can easily remove it by rebooting your Windows computer in Safe Mode with Networking (instructions posted below) and downloading trustworthy antivirus software then.
Nowadays, a proper AV tool is a must for everyone that values his privacy and safety as new hazardous cyber threats are created daily. After WinAntiVirus Pro removal, it is highly recommended to perform system diagnostics with appropriate tools to repair system irregularities.
