Has anyone come across anything like https://retailexperiencesreddit.top/989993a0e57edbbbd3921987a763e19d/index.html?isp=Metrocast%20Communications&trackid=2020011406541252# before?
Most likely a SPAM/Phishing scam, but can't tell - I think its part of a browser hijacker or untrustworthy browser extension. I'd like to know more if anyone can trace more info about it.
It seems that you encountered a redirect virus and, as you mentioned, ended up on a phishing or SPAM site. The message shows a similar content as adware-type intruders that spreads around the internet during holidays and tricks people into clicking on potentially dangerous material.
Wish-you.co scam is one of the examples that show colorful messages, pop-ups, causes redirects and additional rerouted to similar pages. If you manage to exit the site safely and haven't encountered additional advertising content like pop-ups or banners, you may be safe. If not - read the article to learn about the intruder that you possibly have on the PC.
Additional symptoms like redirects to other sites and alterations of your browser settings can indicate the adware-type intruder that is already running in the background of your device and possibly affecting the performance of your computer. To get rid of the PUP, you need to get a professional anti-malware tool and run the full system scan, during which all traces of the potentially unwanted program can get eliminated.
Sincerely,
