My computer was infected with some kind of virus. I cannot open any of my files, and all of them have some weird extension. I found a ransom note where hackers ask to pay bitcoins. I think it might be SerbRansom ransomware virus… I don’t want to pay for them… What should I do now?

SerbRansom ransomware virus hasn't started spreading actively yet. However, if you see .velikasrbija file extension added to the encrypted files, you are indeed dealing with this virus. Though, if you see another file extension, you should still concentrate on virus removal. Elimination of the virus has to be done using reliable and reputable malware removal tools. Don't try to terminate virus manually because you may damage computer's system. We have to point out that virus elimination does not rescue encrypted files. For that, you need specific decryption software. However, you should never pay this software from the hackers! They may leave you with both - money and data loss. If you have data backups, you can use them and recover your files after virus elimination. If you are actually dealing with SerbRansom, please have a look at additional data recovery methods that can help to get back at least some of your files.
Sincerely,
2-spyware team.
