Help, I found out this morning that all my files were corrupted by a disastrous virus. The virus added .crypted file extensions to files, so I assume that it is a ransomware virus. How can I remove Crypted file extensions so that I could open my files again?

It seems that your files were encrypted by Crypted virus. It is a variant of Nemucod ransomware. The virus leaves DECRYPT.txt file on the system (the ransom note) that contains information regarding possible data recovery methods.
Unfortunately, scammers want you to pay a ransom, although you shouldn't do so.
At the moment, you can try using Nemucod decrypter, which is known to be effective when dealing with .encrypted file extension files. Some people say that it helped them to recover some files - we suggest you try it.
You can find the decrypter's download link and explanation on how to use it in this article: Crypted virus. How to remove? (Uninstall guide).
