I need help immediately!
I think i am infected. I recently opened an e-mail letter that was placed in spam section, but it promised that I must open it because i won something, so I did! It contained a txt file which I opened. Now I cannot open files that are placed on my computer! any single one of them! Are they gone for good? Did this virus destroy them?????

As we can see, you have stated that you cannot open your files. You have also stated that the filenames have been changed, and now they contain a Gmail e-mail address in the file name. Based on our latest malware researches, we assume that you have been infected with Gomasom ransomware. This virus should be removed immediately! For that, you can use an anti-spyware software, but you can also try to remove this virus manually. Both removal techniques are described on this report on Gomasom virus (read it here).
You should NEVER open emails from unknown senders! In most cases, cyber-criminals tend to spread malicious files via infectious e-mail letters. You should never open such e-mails and ESPECIALLY files that might be attached to them! They might be malicious. Computer security experts strongly recommend keeping an anti-malware program on your machine (for instance, FortectIntego or any other reputable one) to secure it from spyware and malware attacks.
