The You Have Won iPhone X Max from AppleStore message might seem extremely confusing as it comes as a Google Calendar notification from the phone. By default, the settings are set to vibrate and make a sound - a behavior that is typical for legitimate applications installed on the device.
However, there is nothing legitimate about You Have Won iPhone X Max from AppleStore scam, as it is simply an elaborate scheme to make users click the malicious Bitly (or another) link that would bring them to a spoofing or scam site, or trick them to install malware.
How do malicious You Have Won iPhone X Max from AppleStore notifications reach Google Calendar? The problem lies within the default settings of the Calendar and the way Google handles the event invites received from emails.
Malicious actors send out thousands of malicious emails to users whose email address was disclosed in a previous data breach or compromised in other ways.
While most of the malicious emails contain attachments that users need to click in order to propagate malware, crooks behind You Have Won iPhone X Max from AppleStore send the Event invite, which is automatically accepted by everyone who uses default Google Calendar settings.
Initially, the malicious email does get placed into Spam email, so it would be logical if these emails would be ignored when such invites are accepted. Unfortunately, Google has not yet tackled this issue, and users' Calendars are spammed with malicious invites that then prompt them to visit dangerous links.
As evident, you should not click any links provided in the You Have Won iPhone X Max from AppleStore calendar event, and instead remove it by following instructions you can find in this article: https://www.2-spyware.com/remove-you-have-won-iphone-x-max-from-applestore.html.
If you already clicked on the malicious link, you should immediately scan your device for malware. Also, if you provided any type of sensitive data to crooks, you should also contact your bank to prevent any unsolicited payments from being made by malicious actors.
Good luck,
