Ukash virus defines a group of malicious viruses that used to ask victims to pay ransoms via Ukash pre-paid cards. Nowadays the system changed, and viruses now demand ransoms paid via Bitcoins. There are many examples of such viruses, and most of them encrypt files to convince the victim to pay up. To defend your PC from ransomware attacks, you should have a decent anti-malware software on your PC, for instance, FortectIntego. Always update programs that you have on the computer and stay away from untrustworthy websites while browsing the Internet. Finally, never open emails sent by suspicious individuals. URLs or attachments that such emails contain are likely to compromise your computer and damage your files.
