I’m kinda worried at this point. My PC keeps giving me notifications, saying that my computer has been infected and that I should call some technitial to deal with that. Should I do that? I was wondering if I could just simply use some antivirus software without having to call someone to fix my PC? By the way, it all sounds suspicious to me because I never had these ads before AND I do not have an antivirus system that would send such notifications. Is there something I can do to stop receiving these notificaitions? Or is my system really at risk?

We are glad you are turning to us for an advise. You should by no means contact the number given in these notifications. In fact, these are pop-up ads which act like system notifications. By calling the number provided in this ad, you will be connected to a salesperson who most probably will try to convince you to obtain some software to help your system take care of the "potential threat." In fact, this is just false advertising and the salesperson you are talking to are potential scammers. What is more, these ads are generated by an adware program which resides on your PC, so you have to scan your system with some reputable anti-malware tool like FortectIntego to detect and delete it. This should stop the ads from appearing in your browsing results.
We hope you find this helpful.
With best regards
