Hello. I have cleaned my computer from Sage 2.0 ransomware with Reimage, and it seems to be clean now. I’m happy with that. BUT! My files still have .sage extensions appended to original ones (.jpg, .doc, etc). What was my mistake? Is it possible to restore these files to normal condition somehow? Because I still cannot open them. Please help !

Sage 2.0 ransomware is one of the latest ransomware viruses, and unfortunately, we believe that it will soon become just as active and fierce as Locky or Cerber viruses.
Now, the reason why your files are still encrypted and still have .sage file extensions is that the antivirus, anti-malware, and anti-spyware programs aren't supposed to decrypt files locked by ransomware viruses. In fact, it is hardly possible at all - only cybercriminals have the special key that is essential for data recovery. Virus removal programs are meant to remove viruses, not restore encrypted data. If you do not have a backup, we suggest you try data recovery methods described in this article: Sage 2.0 ransomware virus. How to Remove? (Uninstall Guide & Data Recovery Instructions).
