Birdyflap.com ads promote an online game and inform about adware infection

Birdyflap.com is a website that offers to play an online game for free. This web game is available for Windows and Mac OS X users. However, it seems that developers decided to use an aggressive online marketing strategy and decided to promote the game using adware program. Once this potentially unwanted application[1] sneaks inside the computer, it starts initiating redirects to this site and displaying numerous ads. Usually, Birdyflap.com ads offer to play this game; however, they might also suggest installation of unknown software, provide various shopping deals or promote other web games. Redirects and an excessive amount of ads diminish browsing experience significantly. In order to stop these annoying and possibly dangerous activities, you should remove Birdyflap.com adware from the computer. We suggest scanning the device with Reimage or other anti-malware programs because it helps to locate and delete all PUPs that might have also been installed on the PC without your knowledge.

Besides, you might be redirected to this site when you start typing a necessary address in the URL bar, or your browsing session might be disturbed by a sudden redirect. As we already mentioned, this ad-supported program might also be promoting other games, software or products. Thus, we want to point out that these ads might be dangerous because they might be malware-laden.[2] It means that if you click on such pop-up, you might be redirected to the infected website or you might be tricked into installing a Trojan. Therefore, these concerning Birdyflap.com redirect tendencies should not be ignored. The only way to fight these ads is to uninstall adware program. So, instead of thinking about installation of an ad-supported program, you should pay attention to computer’s security. Unfortunately, ad-blocking programs won’t stop these annoying activities. You will need to perform Birdyflap.com removal and delete adware from the computer.

Incorrect installation of free software may lead to adware attack

So-called Birdyflap.com virus cannot infiltrate computer itself. The adware program is added as an optional component in software packages. Thus, any freeware or shareware might include third-party applications. When downloading such programs, you are usually asked to choose between Recommended/Standard and Advanced/Custom modes. If you opt for the first option, you might experience Birdyflap.com hijack because this installation wizard may not disclose about additional programs. Usually, these settings are designed to install all third-party apps added to the package silently. Meanwhile, Advanced/Custom option allows monitoring the installation process and opting out such entries. Thus, next time you should not forget this tip and untick all pre-selected apps in order to avoid redirects, suspicious ads or modifications on a web browser. However, if you already made a mistake and aggressive invitations to play Birdy flap bothers you, you should get rid of the adware ASAP!
