During it the application managed to find 9 malicious programs, including two keyloggers, two flooders, two network attack tools, one mail bomber, a nuker and an adware. I've used it for years, it is the best antispyware product on the market. I only pay 50$ a year with my credit card for a subscription and I only have 5 virus' on my computer. Download it, highly recommended!

I somehow got it and my virus scanner picked up on a trojan in a file called NCLABYDLL.DLL
It seems like spy sheriff plants infected files on your PC then wants you to purchase the program to remove the files. I used Yahoo anti spy it it did great. I was getting a blue error screen when I tried to open my internet explorer. The program set my home page to Secure32.html. When the page opened it gave you three options. One was to purchase thier software to remove the infected file. I got it out and I wish I could get my hands on whoever is responsible. It took a while to figure out waht to do but now I seem to be clean.

SpySheriff Disables TaskMan, and it starts a flurry of activity on your machine that is hard to keep up with. You must quickly get to the System Restore and order a restore to a recent checkpoint. , before it corrupts the System Restore calendar, rendering THAT useless.
Before you ask about legal action, you should be more careful what sites you visit.

windows downloaded and installed spysheriff without permission. there was spyware on my computer and spysheriff claimed to be a real antispyware program. then i looked on the net, and found reports about hacks by spysheriff. adaware se personal kept crashing when scanning spysheriff.exe.

I was hit by SpySheriif last week and like everyone else despaired of the damage to my system ! Luckily, I had installed Norton GoBack just only a few weeks ago, and it was a doddle to recover all my hard disks to the restore point state prior to the the infection. Now all the SpySheriff garbage is consigned to oblivion, and I am a happy bunny once more - Phew ! That was close shave !

When running anti-spyware utilities (e.g. Spy Sweeper) and when editing the registry be sure to logon as each individual user to ensure you delete all traces

Is what this company does not illegal? Can anything be done about this ( I cant even think of an appropriate name for these people!) But thank you all for posting your fixes to this problem I was at a loss, I make desktop themes and coudnt test them or anything. It is just like that movie The Net. That man makes viruses that only his software can fix. Anyway thanks to all.

Remove that stupid blue background, that says Spyware Infection inside a box, by opening HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and then deleting SNinstall and/or Window Installer that has a suspicious data like winstall.exe

Okay, After deleting that SpySheriff crap in my computer, I finally know how to change that blue desktop in my computer that has box saying Spyware Infection. Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System and there should be only two values, (Default) and DisableTaskMgr. If you have a third value that says "wallpaper" delete it by right clicking and restart your computer. Your desk top should change back to normal like mine.

First open Windows Task Manager and kill processes Spysheriff. Press Alt+Ctrl+Delete to open it. Then kill processes Spysheriff. If you can not open Windows Task Manager for some reason open HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System and double click DisableTaskMgr and its data to 0.

To delete values click Start and Run and type in "regedit" without quotations.

Delete values HKEY_USERS./DEFAULT/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/Spysheriff or check HKEY_USERS./DEFAULT/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/Internet Explorer and HKEY_USERS./DEFAULT/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/Windows or Windows NT. Also try HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/MicrosoftWindows or Windows NT. Delete anything thats says SpySheriff. Another good trick is go search key word SpySheriff and highlight everything and delete it in recycle bin. It worked for me.

This program installed itself on my computer and took a lot of work to remove. My computer is still not back to normal. If you are infected with this most malicious spyware then get rid of it fast.

I was surfing a website and the program installed itself! it popped up a nasty your system is infected theme to my desktop and popped up ads and porn on my browsers. it put three x,s on top that kept saying your computer is infected download microsoft anti spyware. yet all it does is run the spysheriff. it wants me to pay 30.00 to purchase a full version. sadly a friend tried to help me rid it. now i cannot get my desktop, my toolbar, my start menu... just the desktop and the task manager. that is how i got this page. by painfully using task manager one program at a time. i need my comp restored now and have to pay a professional to fix it!!! please do not download spysheriff!!!! it is a malicious program containing adbiz,several trojans, 180 search, wildtangent, aorun and a few hijacker programs that take over your desktop, registry and win installer.
