I can’t seem to understand but when I try to open links from Skype, I get them opened in some new browser that is named Ebon. I didn’t install it on my PC nor did I make it a default one. Could I be infected with a virus and it changed my settings?
I noticed my default browser changed to Ebon. How did that happen?

What you have here is a rogue browser that installs to your system without user consent. Usually, you could call it a legitimate browser, if you would install it by yourself, but if it appeared on your PC out of nowhere, there is nothing good about that. Of course, that could have happened if you were installing new software on your computer, and you didn't read what you agreed upon. It might have had a "checked" checkbox with a text like "Install additional software," which you missed and technically you agreed on installing it on your PC. Nevertheless, we recommend using this Ebon removal guide, and of course, it's always best to scan your computer from other infections with SpyHunter
