Ad Network Performance virus. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)
Why does Ad Network Performance virus interrupt me?
When infected with Ad Network Performance virus (also known as Adnetworkperformance.com virus), a computer acts sluggish and many annoying web ads appear while a user browses the Internet. These ads can show up as pop-ups[1], banners[2], or hyperlinks[3] that display advertisements once you hover the mouse over them. It is not hard to understand that there is something wrong with these ads and not only because they are very annoying. The content they present often looks dubious and even possibly dangerous.
This adware-type potentially unwanted program (PUP) aims to deliver a wide range of Ad Network Performance ads. These ads are based on victim’s recent browsing history and search queries that are collected as soon as this adware enters the system[4]. So the content of these ads can look very promising as they tend to present shopping offers, discount codes, vouchers, price comparisons, free samples and similar stuff. However, ads by Ad Network Performance may also offer you to install free software or updates or ask you to fill out some suspicious surveys that can be skipped only if you are a tech savvy person.[5]. Other types of ads you might receive can claim that you have won something or that you are the lucky visitor. No matter what content Ad Network Performance adware exhibits for you, we do not recommend clicking on it, doing what it asks you to do or downloading any files or programs it promotes.

How did Ad Network Performance hijack your computer?
If you cannot remember installing AdNetworkPerformance PUP, it probably entered your computer system along with another free program you have installed. Therefore, we would like to advise you to be more careful when installing new software on your PC or Mac. Developers of PUPs target to spread their products as effectively as possible; therefore, they use software bundling strategy. They add these PUPs to other programs disguised as “free additions” or “recommended downloads.” Unfortunately, you can find out about such additions only by selecting Advanced or Custom installation settings. Please take note that the majority of PC users rely on dubious Default/Standard options while in reality these installation settings automatically install all additional components added to the primary program. Please choose our recommended settings and opt such shady additions out.
