Remove Ads2 ads (Virus Removal Instructions)

Information about “Ads by Ads2”

Ads2 is an ad-supported program, which cannot be trusted. When it enters a victimized computer, it installs a browser extension that is supposed to deliver best shopping deals, discount codes, coupons, price comparisons, and other shopping related offers that are meant to help you save money when shopping online. However, we doubt that these hardly reliable offers can be useful at any point. Ads2 adware is a suspicious software that seeks to boost web traffic to its partners’ websites, and it does that in a deceptive way. Concerning this and several other negative features that this program has, it was assigned to the ‘potentially unwanted programs’ (PUPs) category.

First of all, Ads2 PUP might trick you into installing it in a subtle way, which is totally legitimate. It is spread together with other free applications and presented as a ‘recommended download.’ Many people install this computer parasite without realizing it because they tend to install new programs in a rush. Later on, we will explain how you can prevent installing unwanted bonus apps when installing a free program of your choice. Now, let’s discuss how Ads2 adware works.

Ads2 ads

Questions about Ads2 ads

When installed and active, Ads2 tracks your browsing activity all the time. It records what search keywords do you type in, what websites do you visit, what links do you click on and so on. Then it generates advertisements based on this information and starts sending them for you. There are various different forms of ads by Ads2. They may show up in pop-up windows, new tab pages, banners or in-text links. During your browsing sessions, this adware program might cause unexpected Ads2 redirects to suspicious websites. Both these redirects and Ads2 ads are meant to make you visit predetermined websites in order to gain pay-per-click revenue. Unfortunately, many of websites that are promoted in such shady way are untrustworthy and may be malicious, so needless to say, you should NOT visit them. We recommend you to stay from ads marked as “powered by Ads2,” “brought to you by Ads2” or “ads by Ads2.” To secure your computer, you should scan it with a powerful anti-spyware software, for instance, Reimage Reimage Cleaner Intego.

How did Ads2 hijack my PC?

As we have already mentioned, Ads2 adware can hijack a computer when the user acts carelessly and installs new programs in a rush. Keep in mind that free applications frequently promote third-party software and various PUPs, so you have to be careful and refuse to install them. Therefore, you should follow these simple steps to install any free program in a proper way:

  1. Avoid downloading free programs from unreliable web sources.
  2. Do not install software using Default/Standard/Basic mode. These settings are unreliable!
  3. Instead, opt for Advanced/Custom installation option. If you have downloaded a bundled software, the setup wizard should provide a list of “optional downloads” after you select one of these options.
  4. Deselect any unfamiliar apps that you do not wish to install.

If Ads2 adware has already infiltrated your computer system, you should not waste any more time and remove this PC intruder without a delay. Navigate to page 2 to find Ads2 removal guide.
