DomalQ Removal Guide
What is DomalQ?
DomalQ – adware that meddles with your web browser settings without permission

DomalQ is a potentially unwanted program, which can infiltrate your machine unnoticed and then initiate various system changes. Such programs can easily download unwanted toolbars, change the start page or the default search engine, drop their own browser add-ons on each web browser, and so on.
However, one of the most obvious signs showing that your computer was affected by one of such applications is annoying pop-up ads that may interrupt each of your browsing sessions. DomalQ ads may be set to inform you about various discounts, price comparisons, deals, and similar things that have been attracting PC users.
Please, do not fall for these ads because they may redirect you to unknown or even unsafe websites. Unfortunately, but this is not the end. It seems that DomalQ adware may also start tracking PC users and may collect various information, which is related to their browsing habits, for example:
- search terms
- mostly visited websites
- IP address
- approximate location
- device information, etc.
No matter that it is considered as personally non-identifiable, you should be very careful with programs that are capable of collecting them. In many cases, adware creators share these details with additional parties to maximize profits.
Security experts summed up the app well:
DomalQ is a suspicious application, which may cause annoying pop-up ads that may try to redirect you to affiliate websites. Also, it may collect personally non-identifiable information and may cause other issues on your computer.
Please, be careful with this adware and always think about the trustworthiness of its ads. Beware that this program is compatible with Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome web browsers, but there is no guarantee that it is not capable of hijacking other browsers as well.
If you can't avoid its ads because it has infiltrated your machine behind your back, you should remove it from the system as soon as possible. You can rely on a powerful anti-malware software scan, followed by system inspection with FortectIntego.
Adware authors use software bundling for effective distribution
You can download DomalQ from various websites. However, many PC users call this program a virus because it infiltrates computers unnoticed. If you want to avoid such unexpected programs, you must remember one secret:
DomalQ spreads in a bundle with freeware and shareware, which is typically filled with various optional downloads and similar stuff.
You should always uncheck these check boxes that agree to install them, and you will prevent their infiltration. Otherwise, be prepared to follow these steps because this is the only way to remove DomalQ from the system.
DomalQ virus removal steps
Technically, DomalQ is not a virus. It is a potentially unwanted application, which can be avoided by choosing a custom or advanced installation procedure when installing freeware on the system. If you have just failed to choose any of these methods and allowed adware, you should remove DomalQ from your system either manually or automatically.
If you would like to pick the former, you can use the instructions we provide below. Not only do we explain how to remove DomalQ from Windows and Mac systems, but we also offer effective methods on how to clean the affected web browsers properly to ensure the unwanted redirects stop for good. Alternatively, you can rely on security software that would find and delete all the adware's components automatically.

How to prevent from getting adware
Stream videos without limitations, no matter where you are
There are multiple parties that could find out almost anything about you by checking your online activity. While this is highly unlikely, advertisers and tech companies are constantly tracking you online. The first step to privacy should be a secure browser that focuses on tracker reduction to a minimum.
Even if you employ a secure browser, you will not be able to access websites that are restricted due to local government laws or other reasons. In other words, you may not be able to stream Disney+ or US-based Netflix in some countries. To bypass these restrictions, you can employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN, which provides dedicated servers for torrenting and streaming, not slowing you down in the process.
Data backups are important – recover your lost files
Ransomware is one of the biggest threats to personal data. Once it is executed on a machine, it launches a sophisticated encryption algorithm that locks all your files, although it does not destroy them. The most common misconception is that anti-malware software can return files to their previous states. This is not true, however, and data remains locked after the malicious payload is deleted.
While regular data backups are the only secure method to recover your files after a ransomware attack, tools such as Data Recovery Pro can also be effective and restore at least some of your lost data.
