Remove Shopping Optimizer (Removal Instructions)

removal by Olivia Morelli - - | Type: Adware

I’ve been receiving “ads by Shopping Optimizer,” “Shopping Optimizer ads,” “powered by Shopping Optimizer” and similarly named ads for quite a while. They are not regular ads – they are super intrusive and covers the majority of my computer desktop. What is the problem here?

Important information about Shopping Optimizer adware:

Shopping Optimizer is a bothersome application that tries to present itself as an online shopping companion. However, observant computer users will soon notice the distrustful activities that this program initiates, because it can significantly decrease the browsing experience. Shopping Optimizer is an adware program, which means that it is ad-supported. Although it describes itself as an app that can provide great shopping deals, price comparisons, coupons, discount codes and other beneficial information, and also promises to save your time and money shopping online, do not believe in such lies. Shopping Optimizer adware is an application that was developed with an intention to increase the popularity of affiliate marketing. Let us explain how this advertising system works.

ads by Shopping Optimizer examples

Shopping Optimizer gets paid to redirect users to Shopping Optimizer’s sponsors’ websites. So how does this program initiate such redirects? Firstly, once Shopping Optimizer gets installed on a computer, it starts to track the online activity of the user. It means that Shopping Optimizer gathers data like your browsing history, searches you have made, keywords that you have used, files you have downloaded and similar information. Later, Shopping Optimizer shares such acquired facts with unreliable sources (for example, third-party businesses) and generates targeted ads for you. These ads by Shopping Optimizer are attractive-looking, and they provide offers and deals that are related to your interests. However, do not think that these ads are safe! You should not click on them in any case. In reality, Shopping Optimizer ads appear to be nice and catchy, but they do not provide any usual information. In fact, clicking on Shopping Optimizer ads can end you up on doubtful web domains that may include harmful content. To avoid unexpected dangers to your system, we recommend you to avoid installing unreliable software or updates. The chances are high that you may receive some dubious files altogether. To protect your system from unreliable downloads and to secure your computer in advance, you should install an anti-spyware program like ReimageIntego.

How did my computer get affected by Shopping Optimizer hijack?

Shopping Optimizer is an obscure adware program, which is distributed in a silent and indirect way, named bundling. When programs are spread via bundling method, several of them are packed together and presented as one. The chances to install such software bundle are higher if you tend to download new applications from untrustworthy and unofficial websites. However, it is also quite easy to avoid installing programs like Shopping Optimizer. You just need to be careful when you are about to download and install freeware or shareware to your system. Do not rush through the installation process by unintentionally clicking the “Next” button all the time – pay attention to each installation step and read every statement closely. Moreover, do not skip the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use documents. These docs often reveal the information about optional downloads attached to the program that you wanted to install. It is also vital to select Advanced or Custom installation settings, as these installation modes provide an opportunity to reject unwanted software components. Unfortunately, if Shopping Optimizer virus is already lurking in your computer system, prevention methods are not going to help you. To find out how to remove this PC intruder, continue reading on page 2.

Stream videos without limitations, no matter where you are

There are multiple parties that could find out almost anything about you by checking your online activity. While this is highly unlikely, advertisers and tech companies are constantly tracking you online. The first step to privacy should be a secure browser that focuses on tracker reduction to a minimum.

Even if you employ a secure browser, you will not be able to access websites that are restricted due to local government laws or other reasons. In other words, you may not be able to stream Disney+ or US-based Netflix in some countries. To bypass these restrictions, you can employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN, which provides dedicated servers for torrenting and streaming, not slowing you down in the process.

Data backups are important – recover your lost files

Ransomware is one of the biggest threats to personal data. Once it is executed on a machine, it launches a sophisticated encryption algorithm that locks all your files, although it does not destroy them. The most common misconception is that anti-malware software can return files to their previous states. This is not true, however, and data remains locked after the malicious payload is deleted.

While regular data backups are the only secure method to recover your files after a ransomware attack, tools such as Data Recovery Pro can also be effective and restore at least some of your lost data.

Because technically this program tells you about the optional programs included. basically it is your fault that you do not read the Terms of Use document. I know, it is not fair, but thats how it is
