The main facts that are known about Key Player and its latest version KeyPlayer 1.4:
As you have already understood, KeyPlayer is considered a potentially unwanted program capable of causing various unwanted activities. As soon as you install this program, it drops its executable files (KeyPlayer_wd.exe and other ones) and adds its extensions to each of web browsers. As a result, you may notice unwanted activity on your Chrome, Mozilla, and other web browsers. Typically, it is related to continuous pop-up ads, in-text links, search ads and other commercial messages that are typically displayed as soon as victim starts his/hers browsing session. You should take into account that sometimes these sponsored ads can lead you to unsafe websites seeking to increase their popularity with the help of questionable techniques. There is no guarantee that they are free of viruses, trojans, and other potentially unwanted programs.
Also, as soon as KeyPlayer infiltrates the system, it may intentionally hijack your browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari) and start tracking your browsing on the web. Such activity is initiated for trying to manipulate the user and show him/her interesting pop-up ads. Such browser add-ons are typically set to collect such non-personally identifiable information: search terms, mostly visited websites, information that is entered by the user on his/hers favorite websites, computer IP address, its location, etc. Please, do NOT reveal such data because its loss may lead you to such problems as an increased amount of spam in your email inbox and so on. That’s why we strongly recommend ignoring these Key Player ads before any further harm is done to your computer. If you think that this adware has already hijacked your browser, scan your PC with the reliable anti-spyware tool, such as FortectIntego. It will help you to remove suspicious files of this program.

How to prevent from getting adware
Choose a proper web browser and improve your safety with a VPN tool
Online spying has got momentum in recent years and people are getting more and more interested in how to protect their privacy online. One of the basic means to add a layer of security – choose the most private and secure web browser. Although web browsers can't grant full privacy protection and security, some of them are much better at sandboxing, HTTPS upgrading, active content blocking, tracking blocking, phishing protection, and similar privacy-oriented features. However, if you want true anonymity, we suggest you employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN – it can encrypt all the traffic that comes and goes out of your computer, preventing tracking completely.
Lost your files? Use data recovery software
While some files located on any computer are replaceable or useless, others can be extremely valuable. Family photos, work documents, school projects – these are types of files that we don't want to lose. Unfortunately, there are many ways how unexpected data loss can occur: power cuts, Blue Screen of Death errors, hardware failures, crypto-malware attack, or even accidental deletion.
To ensure that all the files remain intact, you should prepare regular data backups. You can choose cloud-based or physical copies you could restore from later in case of a disaster. If your backups were lost as well or you never bothered to prepare any, Data Recovery Pro can be your only hope to retrieve your invaluable files.
