Still, it's nothing more than a potentially unwanted program (PUP for short) that seeks to redirect internet traffic to affiliated sites and display you a myriad of misleading advertisements.
Browser hijackers do that by modifying the default browser's search engine, which consequently changes the new tab and homepage. Therefore, when this type of PUP is installed on a device when users launch their browser or open a new tab, the first thing they see is a questionable search engine.
Usually, when you type a search inquiry into the URL bar or the search field, you can see a chain of redirects taking place until results from a search provider of the PUP operator's choice are shown. Step 2: Reset the browser if the redirects continue

Step 3: Scan the PC if you downloaded anything from the ads
If you only saw the notifications and clicked nothing, you can stop before this step. If a notification led you to download or run something, delete that file, then scan Windows.

Why does my browser keep going to wavebrowser.com?
Something is sending it there. On one site only, that site's ads are the cause and leaving the site ends it.
