Hi, I have a problem. On Chrome browser, I used to have a couple of shortcuts to my favourite websites, which were auto-generated judging on what websites I visit most frequently. However, yesterday things changed. I still have Google search, but now these shortcuts are different. Besides, browser shows Launchpage.org URL in the address bar, although I never touched homepage settings or anything. Can you explain what does this mean?

You see wrong favorite websites because your browser was affected by Launchpage.org virus, a browser-hijacking program that promotes a deceptive search engine that looks identical to the one that's provided by Chrome's default page. This browser hijacker wants you to use the modified search engine and receive sponsored results along with organic ones. By clicking the sponsored ones, you would generate revenue for developers of this hijacker, however, at the same time, you would take the risk of visiting potentially dangerous websites. We highly recommend you to remove Launchpage.org because security experts identify it as a program that doesn't initiate illegal activities but provides results that might lead you to insecure external websites. For more information about this hijacker and its shady functions, please read a full article about it here: Launchpage.org virus. What is it and how to remove it? (Free Instructions).
