Indeed, your computer is infected with so-called SafeSearch virus. However, technically, it’s not a dangerous malware. It’s just a potentially unwanted program (PUP). Once you uninstall it, you will be able to set Google as your default search engine.
There are two ways how you can get rid of it - manual and automatic. If you are interested in manual SafeSearch removal, you can find detailed instructions here. Automatic elimination is performed using anti-malware program. All you need to do is to scan the system with updated software.
