I was contacted by phone a company claiming over 2000 hacking attempts over Christmas and New Year. They claimed to install a special software to protect my system. Am I infected? I am using Toshiba laptop.

It seems that you were contacted by scammers who are using telephone calls to spread their useless programs or viruses. To prevent other viruses or even the loss of your personal information, we highly recommend scanning the system with Reimage. Do not forget to update it before a scan.
