Ad-Maven ads Removal Guide

What is Ad-Maven ads?

Why should you know about Ad-Maven ads?

Numerous Ad-Maven ads might disturb browsing sessions by filling your browser with commercial content. Surfing the web might become an annoying and nerve-wracking activity. The program which is responsible for generating these ads often installs on the computer unauthorized and starts injecting ads without much consideration whether you want to see them or not. Nevertheless, this program seems to be a legitimate advertising platform; it’s aggressive marketing strategy made users to the harsh categorization. Many people who have encountered them, call this application as “Ad-Maven virus.” However, we want to point out that technically this program is not a virus.[1] Indeed, this program is annoying because of delivering an excessive amount of pop-ups, banners, video and audio ads, and other advertisements. Probably, you have heard that online ads became extremely dangerous nowadays because infected ads[2] might be placed on legitimate websites.[3] After clicking one of these ads, your computer might be infected with malware.[4] You should remember, though, that you are not obliged to be a part of this shady marketing system, so if you are not content with your browsing experience, remove Ad-Maven from your computer unhesitatingly. We recommend using acknowledged antivirus tools, such as FortectIntego, to carry out the elimination safely and quickly.

If these ads don’t seem like a problem to you, you should be aware of the few things that are related to your and computer’s security. First, you should keep in mind that Ad-Maven affiliates with a number of third-parties, so it is natural that not all of them may be equally reliable. The program may promote sites which contain questionable content or simply try to push you unnecessary services and products. Ad-Maven redirect strategy may also be applied to send more traffic to the predetermined sites. This would mean that the ads may not disclose the full information about the website or product, or the information may be deceptive. Having this in mind, it can be presumed that none of these ads are completely safe. If you are willing to take the risk in the hope of receiving some valuable offers, you can keep this program installed. Nevertheless, if you are security-cautious, we suggest you not to hesitate and take care of the Ad-Maven removal soon.

When was this program installed on my computer?

As we have already mentioned, a concerning feature of this program is that it enters the user’s computers without prior notice. It is usually bundled with freeware and shareware applications and installs along with them when they are downloaded on the computer. Even though legitimate programs may be distributed using this technique, spreading advertising software this way is rather unfair and inconsiderate on the part of the user. Luckily, you can avoid such unwanted programs[5] by simply choosing “Advanced” installation mode when setting up a new application. This way, you will be able to investigate the additional information about the program included in the Terms and Conditions and other documents, as well as terminate the installation of some undesirable applications you may find added to the software package.
