Remove Ads by Info (Removal Instructions) - Sep 2016 update

removal by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Adware

What is “ads by Info”?

The appearance of “Ads by Info” pop-ups is the signal showing that your computer is affected by adware-type program. Firstly, you may be convinced that these ads are good for you as the most of them report about discounts, price reductions and comparisons. However, we haven’t found a person who manages to save the money by using Info virus. Beware that this is a potentially unwanted program which seeks to earn the money for its developers by redirecting users’ traffic to predetermined sites. Once it is added to the browser, it modifies it and drops related extensions that are compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, and any other web browser. Such extensions can significantly decrease your browser’s performance and you may start blaming your computer for being that slow. In reality, unusual system slowdowns should make you think about Info removal. You can do that with the help of ReimageIntego

In addition to a diminished browser’s performance, Info virus can also flood you with commercial advertisements. As a rule, you should ignore them because their task is to reroute you to affiliate websites and help them increase their visitors’ traffic. We don’t want to say that each of Info ads is malicious. Nevertheless, the developers of this app do not take any responsibility for third party links that redirect people to third party websites. Thus, there is a potential risk of visiting a questionable website that is used for spreading malware. We have already received several reports from people who have been tricked into installing this adware and then suffered from redirects to suspicious websites.. No one knows how reliable and safe are these redirect sites so you should be careful with visiting them and sharing your personal information with their owners. To make things worse, you may be rerouted to a suspicious website managed by scammers and get scammed after making a purchase. Finally, it needs to be noted that this add-on is capable of tracking users’ web browsing and transmitting gathered information to its remote control servers. Even if you are not against disclosing your web browsing history to third parties, we do not recommend doing so because you can never know what it can be used for. To get rid of annoying ads, we highly recommend you to remove Info from your computer.

How can Info hijack my computer?

Info is another app that is based on JustPlugIt platform, which is, broadly speaking, responsible for the majority of adwares. There are various ways how it may get inside. For example, visiting suspicious websites, clicking on misleading links, downloading email attachments found in spam, clicking fake update alerts, installing freeware inattentively, etc. The last example, which is known as “bundling” is considered the most popular distribution method of unwanted programs. To protect yourself, you have to be very cautious when installing free software. We recommend reading as much information about your selected freeware as possible. Also, make sure you select Advanced or Custom installation mode (instead of Quick or Basic) and carefully check if selected freeware carries additional components. If so, you should not hesitate to deselect them. We say so because all apps, that are traveling along with freeware and shareware, should be avoided due to the fact that they are usually used for affiliate marketing.

Access your website securely from any location

When you work on the domain, site, blog, or different project that requires constant management, content creation, or coding, you may need to connect to the server and content management service more often. The best solution for creating a tighter network could be a dedicated/fixed IP address.

If you make your IP address static and set to your device, you can connect to the CMS from any location and do not create any additional issues for the server or network manager that needs to monitor connections and activities. VPN software providers like Private Internet Access can help you with such settings and offer the option to control the online reputation and manage projects easily from any part of the world.

Recover files after data-affecting malware attacks

While much of the data can be accidentally deleted due to various reasons, malware is one of the main culprits that can cause loss of pictures, documents, videos, and other important files. More serious malware infections lead to significant data loss when your documents, system files, and images get encrypted. In particular, ransomware is is a type of malware that focuses on such functions, so your files become useless without an ability to access them.

Even though there is little to no possibility to recover after file-locking threats, some applications have features for data recovery in the system. In some cases, Data Recovery Pro can also help to recover at least some portion of your data after data-locking virus infection or general cyber infection.
