Bo-Browser. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)
What is Bo-Browser?
Bo-Browser by ClaraLabs S.A. (also found as BoBrowser or BOBrowser 1.1) is one of these programs that are promising more than they can give. In this particular case, this browser add-on claims that it can help people to protect data kept on their computers. In addition, blocking annoying ads and optimizing user’s browsing is also promised by its developers. However, you may also notice annoying Bo-Browser ads, redirects to isearch.bobrowser.com and similar unwanted activities. That’s because this program has been categorized as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and ‘adware’. No matter that adwares are not considered malicious, they may infiltrate computers thru their backdoors. Bo-Browser may come bundled with other freewares and sharewares as an optional component and then may alter such settings as the default web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer), the start page, the default search engine, etc. As soon as it finishes these settings, it may start displaying commercial advertisements informing about various deals, discounts, coupons, promo codes, etc. After clicking them, you may be redirected to unknown websites that are trying to increase their popularity.
By the way, this dubious web browser may launch several processes within your task manager what may cause the decrease in the entire PC’s performance. In addition to that, Bo-Browser adware may start tracking its users and may collect their search terms, mostly visited websites, data that is added by them while visiting these sites, etc. Such information is considered as ‘personally non-identifiable’ and it is mostly used for selecting interesting ads for PC users. However, you can never know what parties are capable of using such data and what it can be used for. For instance, your email address may be used by spammers and so on. Therefore, it’s better to avoid such apps as Bo-Browser. In order to get rid of it, we highly recommend you to check the machine with a reputable anti-spyware, such as Reimage.
How can Bo-Browser hijack my computer?
Bo-Browser features various similarities to Google Chrome, even the color scheme is very similar. Therefore, it’s very likely that this application has tricked lots of PC users for downloading it to their computers like a useful browser add-on. However, it can be added to your PC system without noticing that because it has also been spread with the help of bundling. If you want to avoid changes of your start page or the default search provider, you should keep in mind that Bo-Browser redirects may start interrupting you right after installing other freeware/shareware. At the moment of writing, the most common programs, which may carry this browser are download managers, PDF creators, media players, games, etc. Thus, if you want to prevent its infiltration, always opt for Advanced or Custom installation option of the freeware and don’t forget to monitor its entire installation process with an intention to uncheck additional components that may be offered to you in a bundle.
