Have you ever thought that online advertising experts can use sneaky ways to infiltrate computer users’ systems in order to display promotional content? If you have never thought of such programs, you might get surprised if PPS Video Player unexpectedly slithers into your computer. If you desire to get rid of this program, we suggest reading this article.

What do you need to know about PPS Video Player adware?

PPS Video Player adware is a program that is supposed to operate as a media player, but it hardly fulfills this promise. It belongs to the infamous category of potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). You should be very careful if you start seeing annoying and suspiciously interfering ads. Ad-supported programs are called adware, and in most cases they deliver advertisements that are sponsored by third-party companies. The reason you should be cautious with such ads is that they are often very misleading. Frequently, these ads are fake, and only seek to attract the attention of the victim. Adware programs are also capable of collecting information about victim’s browsing activity. For example, PPS Video Player can track what information do you search online, and also monitor your browsing history. Such data is used to select targeted advertisements fo you; as a result, you will receive ads that are very similar to your interests.

Questions about PPS Video Player ads

Be careful and do not click on such ads. They can end you up on doubtful web domains that belong to third-party applications. Moreover, do not download ANYTHING from any page that you did not intend to visit. The chances are big you might get an infected file. Another drawback of PPS Video Player adware is that it can slow down your computer. It can happen because this program constantly uses your computer resources to generate intrusive ads. How can PPS Video Player hijack computers?

PPS Video Player can be downloaded online, but commonly this program is spread in an indirect way, which is called software bundling. This distribution method is very frequently used by the distributors of PUPs because it allows to infect users’ computers with multiple computer parasites with their indirect permission. The problem is that PPS Video Player is often suggested as an ‘additional attachment’ next to various legitimate free programs. Unfortunately, the distributors of such PUPs fail to disclose their existence clearly. To avoid such concealed attachments, you have to carefully read Terms or Use and Privacy Policy forms, and then select Advanced or Custom installation settings. In the expanded setup window, untick the statements that claim you agree to install additional freeware. After doing so, you can complete the process.
