skyblock-qol.com: a Minecraft mod download site that URLhaus lists for malicious jar files, and what to do if you ran one
skyblock-qol.com is a web address that URLhaus lists seven times in three days for Minecraft jar files (mods and clients with names like NebulaClient, PolarLauncher and TaunahiAutoPatch), and the site calls itself a mods and downloads page. A jar file is a program, so running one is not like opening a picture.
If you only saw the name in a log, nothing is proven. If you put one of these files into Minecraft or ran it with Java, treat your accounts as exposed: change passwords from another device, then scan and clean or reset Windows.
Facts checked October 13, 2026. Removal steps tested on Windows 11 (26H2) and checked against Microsoft's and the browser makers' current documentation.

Facts checked on 13 October 2026 against the URLhaus entries and RDAP record for skyblock-qol.com held in our data, one plain request of our own, and the published pages listed under sources, which we reached through web search extracts. We did not download the files and we infected no PC. The removal steps follow Microsoft's pages and were not tried on a live infection.
What skyblock-qol.com is, and what we know about it
skyblock-qol.com is not a program on your PC. It is a web address that the abuse.ch project URLhaus lists as a place where malware was served, in the form of Minecraft jar files. The domain is only a few days old, and we found no public write-up of this address, so what follows is what URLhaus and our own request show, plus what security vendors have published about fake Minecraft mods in general.
- 1
What URLhaus lists
Seven file addresses, all ending in .jar and all with the threat label malware_download. Five are on skyblock-qol.com itself: Polinex-Clinet.jar, NebulaClientv3.1.7.jar, PizzaLoader.jar, PolarLauncher-v3.jar and TaunahiAutoPatch-b7-fabric.jar. The other two sat on subdomains: TaunahiAutoPatch-b7-fabric.jar on taunahi.skyblock-qol.com and DonutSmpDupeMod1.21.1-26.2+.jar on donutdupe.skyblock-qol.com. The reporter is the same account for all seven.
- 2
What the tag means
Only the donutdupe file carries a tag: SilentNet. That is a name used on abuse.ch and in public sandbox reports for a stealer that comes as a Minecraft Fabric mod. We found sandbox and community reports for SilentNet samples but no write-up by a security vendor, so treat the family name as a label, not a full analysis. The other six entries have no tag.
- 3
What we could not confirm
We did not download any jar, so we cannot tell you what is inside them, whether they are one family or several, or where they send data. The names suggest cheat clients and mods for the Hypixel Skyblock game and for a Minecraft server called Donut SMP; that is our reading of the file names, not a fact from any report.
- 4
What this means for you
If you only saw the name in a warning, a blocked request or a log, you are not infected by that alone. The risk is for a PC where one of these files was put in the Minecraft mods folder or started with Java. A normal website visit does not run a jar.
- Kind of threat
- A download site that hands out Minecraft .jar files; URLhaus labels all seven malware_download and tags one SilentNet
- Where the files are
- hxxps://skyblock-qol[.]com/NebulaClientv3.1.7.jar and four more jar files; two more on the subdomains taunahi and donutdupe
- Domain registered
- 9 October 2026, 23:12 UTC, registrar Internet Domain Service BS Corp, status client transfer prohibited (RDAP, read 11 October 2026)
- URLhaus entries
- 7 file addresses, added 11 October (2) and 13 October 2026 (5); the 5 on the main domain were online, the 2 on subdomains offline
- Delivery trick
- Names of cheat clients and mods that players search for. The way people find the site is not known to us
- Platform
- Java, so it can run wherever Minecraft Java Edition runs. The sources we read describe Windows victims; we cannot say how these files behave on other systems
What skyblock-qol.com (malicious Minecraft jar files) does on an infected PC
What we checked on 13 October 2026, and what we could not
Our check was one plain request to https://skyblock-qol.com/ from our server: no browser, no clicks, no download. The page answered. That clears nothing, because a jar is only dangerous when someone downloads and runs it, and a plain request does not do either.
Our check, 13 October 2026
- The home page answersHTTP status 200, no redirect, page title "Skyblock QoL | Mods & Downloads", served through Cloudflare. A working, ordinary looking page is what a lure site wants to show.
- Why that is not a clean resultCloudflare only tells us who forwards the traffic, not who runs the site. A plain request from a server cannot see what a person sees after clicking a download button, and sites can show different things by country, device or referrer.
- Notification requestOur request found no mention of the browser notification API. This is nothing on one plain request, not a promise about the site.
- URLhaus listingSeven jar files reported between 11 and 13 October 2026, five of them on the main domain and online when we read the data, one tagged SilentNet.
- Downloads and the files themselvesWe did not download any jar. We cannot tell you what the files contain.
Dangerous: treat the jar files as malware Our request was one quiet visit and proves nothing either way. The rating comes from seven URLhaus reports on a domain that is days old. Do not download or run anything from this address.
What happened to skyblock-qol.com, from registration to our check
The whole history fits into four days. The dates come from RDAP and from the URLhaus data we hold; times are UTC.
9 October 2026
The domain is registered
RDAP shows skyblock-qol.com registered at 23:12 UTC through Internet Domain Service BS Corp, with the status client transfer prohibited. That status stops the domain being moved to another registrar and is common on new domains.
11 October 2026
Two subdomain files are reported
At about 14:31 UTC DonutSmpDupeMod1.21.1-26.2+.jar on donutdupe.skyblock-qol.com is added, tagged SilentNet. At about 18:34 UTC TaunahiAutoPatch-b7-fabric.jar on taunahi.skyblock-qol.com follows. Both are now marked offline.
13 October 2026
Five files on the main domain
Between 14:54 and 14:55 UTC the same file name TaunahiAutoPatch-b7-fabric.jar appears on the main domain, together with NebulaClientv3.1.7.jar, PizzaLoader.jar, PolarLauncher-v3.jar and Polinex-Clinet.jar. All five are online. The operator seems to have moved the files from subdomains to the main address; that is our reading of the dates.

Registration and the three report times for skyblock-qol.com. Dates from RDAP and URLhaus. 13 October 2026
Our plain request
The home page answers with status 200 and the title "Skyblock QoL | Mods & Downloads". Nothing else was tested.
A domain that is days old and already has seven reports is a throwaway lure. If it goes offline, a new address with the same files is likely; the file names, not the domain, are what to remember.
How a fake Minecraft mod can take over an account
A jar file is a Java program, and Minecraft mods are jar files that the game loads and runs. A mod therefore has the same rights as you on your PC. We did not open the files on skyblock-qol.com; this is how Check Point and G DATA describe other cases.

- 1
Fake cheat tools on a trusted looking page
Check Point Research (18 June 2025) described the Stargazers Ghost Network, which put fake Minecraft cheat tools, named Oringo and Taunahi, on GitHub repositories that looked real, with fake accounts adding praise. The name Taunahi is also in one file name on skyblock-qol.com. We do not know if there is any link, and we do not claim one.
- 2
A Java first stage
In Check Point's case the first stage was a Java loader hidden in the fake mod. When the game starts it pulls a second Java stealer and then a third stage written in .NET. The Java stages ran only on machines where Minecraft is installed, which helps them avoid analysis tools that have no Minecraft.
- 3
What the stealers go for
Reports on that campaign list browser credentials, cryptocurrency wallets, VPN configurations, Discord and Telegram tokens, launcher tokens and files in common folders, sent out through Discord webhooks. That is Check Point's campaign; the same list may not hold for these files.
- 4
A real mod with a hook added
G DATA (March 2026) found a tampered copy of AppleSkin, a legitimate Fabric mod, with an attacker's hook added to its start code, so the malware runs whenever Fabric loads the mod. A mod can be harmful even when most of its code is genuine.
- 5
SilentNet
The only tag on this site's entries. Public sandbox reports describe SilentNet samples as Fabric mod stealers, one of them posing as a Fabric API file and one as a Meteor Client addon, with command and control details kept on a blockchain contract so the address can be changed. Those are reports on other samples, from sandbox pages and community notes, not from a vendor, so we call them indications only.
What skyblock-qol.com (malicious Minecraft jar files) can steal or download
What a Minecraft stealer can take from a PC
The list below is what the sources say about this kind of malware, not a proven list for these seven files. Each item is named by at least one report we read.
Reported as possible
- Minecraft and Microsoft account session tokens
- Launcher tokens
- Discord and Telegram tokens
- Saved browser passwords
- Cryptocurrency wallet data
- VPN configuration files
- Files from Desktop and Documents
- Extra malware downloaded later
| Data | Detail | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Game and chat accounts | Launcher, Discord and Telegram tokens, which let a stranger use the account without the password | Check Point Research |
| Browsers | Stored credentials and, in related stealers, cookies | Check Point Research |
| Money | Cryptocurrency wallet data | Check Point Research |
| Files and VPN | VPN configurations and files in Desktop and Documents | Check Point Research |
| Persistence and more | Fabric mod stealers described in sandbox reports download further payloads; the details are not confirmed for these files | abuse.ch and sandbox reports |
What this can cost you
Reading the site or seeing its name costs nothing. The risks below apply to a PC where one of these jar files ran.
- High
Your Microsoft, Minecraft and Discord accounts
A token lets someone sign in as you without your password, so changing the password on the same PC is not enough. Accounts are often sold or used to message your friends with the same lure.
- High
Passwords saved in the browser
Email, shops and banking logins that the browser stores can be read by a program running as you. The email account matters most, because it resets the others.
- High
Crypto
Wallet data taken from a PC can empty a wallet, and a transfer cannot be reversed.
- Medium
More malware on the same PC
A first stage that loads other stages can also load things that stay after the jar is deleted. That is why deleting the jar alone is not a cleanup.
- Medium
Younger players and shared PCs
Minecraft players are often children on a family computer. Every account saved on that PC, including parents' accounts, is in scope.
- Low
Nothing, if you only saw the name
A name in a log, a block list or a warning is not an infection.
What you may notice, and what you may not
Stealers are built to be quiet, and most victims see nothing until an account is used by someone else. None of the signs below is certain.
| Sign | What it means |
|---|---|
| A mod in the mods folder that you did not pick | Open the folder .minecraft/mods (on Windows: press Win+R, type %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). A jar named like NebulaClient, PolarLauncher, PizzaLoader or TaunahiAutoPatch, or any jar you cannot explain, is the first thing to look at |
| Discord or Microsoft sign in alerts | Logins from new places, password reset emails, or friends who get odd messages with links from you. This follows from stolen tokens and is our reading |
| Java running with no game open | In Task Manager a java.exe or javaw.exe with no Minecraft window is worth a look. It is not proof, because other programs use Java |
| A scheduled task or startup entry you did not make | Reports on other Minecraft stealers mention hidden persistence, so check Startup apps and Task Scheduler. We have no confirmation for these specific files |
| Nothing at all | A quiet stealer that takes tokens in the first minute leaves nothing visible |
How to check the PC for skyblock-qol.com (malicious Minecraft jar files)
How a person ends up with these files
Nobody lands on skyblock-qol.com by chance. People look for a free client, a duplication mod or a tool that makes the game easier. We cannot say how this address was promoted; the routes below are the ones the reports on similar campaigns name.
- 1
A search for a cheat or a free client
File names such as NebulaClient and PolarLauncher look like names of clients that players want. A page called Mods & Downloads ranks well for those searches when it is made for them.
- 2
Links in Discord and videos
Reports on other fake mod campaigns describe links in Discord servers, direct messages from a friend whose account was taken over, and YouTube videos that promise a free mod. We have no evidence which route applies here.
- 3
A GitHub page that looks trusted
Check Point describes repositories with fake stars. A star count is not proof that a file is safe.
Check your PC before you delete anything
Start with the question that matters: did you or someone using this PC download a file from skyblock-qol.com, or put a mod with one of these names into Minecraft? If you saw the name in a log from your own network, find the device that asked for it. If the answer is yes or you are not sure, do the checks below. None of them deletes anything.
While you check, do not log in to email, banking, Discord or crypto on this PC.
- 1
Close the game and the launcher
Close Minecraft, the launcher and any Java window. Do not start the file again. If you can, disconnect the PC from the network while you look.
- 2
Look in the mods folder and Downloads
Open the Downloads folder and the Minecraft mods folder (Win+R, then %appdata%\.minecraft\mods). Note any jar from this site or with the names above. Write the name and date; do not delete yet.
- 3
Open Protection history
In Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Protection history, look for a detection, or something blocked or quarantined, at the time of the download or first launch.
- 4
Look at the Task Manager
Open Task Manager and the Processes tab. Look for a java.exe or javaw.exe with no game open, or any program with unusual network use. Right-click a process and choose Open file location to see where it lives.
- 5
Check what starts with Windows
Open Settings > Apps > Startup and switch off what you do not recognise. Also open Task Scheduler and look in the library for tasks with random names or that run a script from a user folder.
- 6
Check your accounts from another device
Look at the sign in activity of your Microsoft account, email, Discord and any exchange. This is quicker than any file check, and an unknown login is a clear answer.
- 7
A scan helps, but it does not clear the PC
A scan with Microsoft Defender can find known files. Treat a clean result as one data point, like a clean site test. New jar files often have few detections at first, so a quiet scan does not say you are safe.
How to remove skyblock-qol.com (malicious Minecraft jar files)
How to remove skyblock-qol.com
A loader's job is to install other malware, so treat the PC as infected with more than one program until the scans are clean.
Step 1: Delete scheduled tasks that bring it back
Programs like skyblock-qol.com add a scheduled task so they return after an uninstall or reopen a page at every sign-in. Start Task Scheduler, open Task Scheduler Library and sort by Last Run Time to see what ran recently.
On the Actions tab, a program in a user folder, a script or a web address is a warning sign; right-click such a task and choose Delete.
Tasks with names copying Google, Edge or Windows updaters but pointing to an odd folder are typical. The tool looks the same in Windows 11 and Windows 10.

Windows 11: Task Scheduler Library, the task selected, the Actions tab shows the file it runs. Full procedure with screenshots: Remove what malware leaves behind in Windows
Step 2: Remove it from startup
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager and select Startup apps (Windows 11) or the Startup tab (Windows 10). Disable entries you do not recognise, especially ones with no publisher or with a name that copies a Windows component.
Right-click an entry and choose Open file location to see where it runs from: programs in
%AppData%or%Temp%deserve a closer look. Some entries are not listed there but in the registry Run keys, which the procedure below shows how to check.Full procedure with screenshots: Stop apps from opening at startup On uGetFix
Step 3: Delete the folders left behind
Uninstalling often leaves the program's folders, and some threats reinstall themselves from them.
Press Windows + R, type
%LocalAppData%and press Enter, then do the same for%AppData%and %ProgramData%, and look for folders named after skyblock-qol.com, its publisher or created on the day the problem started. Delete those folders, and check C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) too.If Windows says a file is in use, end it in Task Manager or delete the folder after a restart in Safe Mode. The folders are the same in Windows 11 and Windows 10.
Full procedure with screenshots: Remove what malware leaves behind in Windows
Step 4: Scan the PC, then run the offline scan
A scan finds the parts of skyblock-qol.com that the manual steps cannot see. In Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Scan options, start a Full scan and quarantine what it reports.
Follow it with Microsoft Defender Antivirus (offline scan) > Scan now, which restarts the PC and checks the disk while Windows and the malware are not running.
It takes about 15 minutes and works the same in Windows 11 and Windows 10. If either scan finds something, run the full scan again after removal until it comes back clean.

Windows 11: Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Scan options. Full procedure with screenshots: Run a Microsoft Defender Offline scan
Step 5: Change passwords from another device and sign out other sessions
Skyblock-qol.com can copy saved passwords, cookies and session tokens and send them out in seconds, so cleaning the PC does not undo the theft.
Change your passwords on a device that was never infected, starting with the e-mail account, since every other reset goes through it. On each account, end all other sessions and check the recovery e-mail, phone number and forwarding rules.
Then turn on two-step verification. Sign in on the Windows 11 or Windows 10 PC again only after the offline scan is clean.

If you use a Mac, Linux, an iPhone or an Android phone
Minecraft Java Edition and its mods run on Windows, macOS and Linux, so a jar file is not tied to one system. We do not know if the files on this site contain code for other systems.
| Your device | What we know | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Mac or Linux with Minecraft Java Edition | A jar needs only Java. We did not open the files and cannot say what they do there | If you ran one, delete it, change your passwords and tokens from another device, and treat the account as exposed. Do not use the Windows steps |
| iPhone or iPad | Mods in jar form do not install on iOS | Nothing to remove for this threat. If you typed a password into a page from this site, change it |
| Android | A jar is not an Android app (that would be an APK) | Nothing to remove for this threat; change passwords if you entered any |
After removal: passwords, accounts and prevention
If you ran one: protect your accounts, then clean the PC
The PC is one half. The other half is everything you were logged in to while the file ran. The order matters: another device first, then the PC.

- 1
Change passwords from a clean device
Use a phone or another PC. Start with email, because it resets everything else, then your Microsoft account (the one for Minecraft), Discord, banking, shops and crypto. Anything typed on the PC while the file ran may be known.
- 2
Sign out of all sessions
Tokens survive a password change in some services unless you sign out everywhere. Use the sign out of all devices option of each account, and turn on two step sign in with an authenticator app or security key.
- 3
Move crypto first if a wallet was on the PC
If a seed phrase or wallet file was on the PC, assume it is known. Make a new wallet on a clean device and move the funds.
- 4
Remove the jar and run Microsoft Defender Offline
Delete the jar from the mods folder and Downloads. Then open Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Scan options, choose Microsoft Defender Offline scan and select Scan now. Save your work first: Windows restarts and the scan takes several minutes. Results are under Protection history. Microsoft notes that you normally need administrator rights.
- 5
Look for unknown programs
Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps and remove programs you did not install. Re-check Startup apps and Task Scheduler.
- 6
If you are not sure, reset Windows
The reset is at Settings > System > Recovery > Reset this PC. Keep my files removes apps and settings; Remove everything wipes the PC. For a PC that ran a stealer plus possible extra stages, the full wipe does not depend on finding every piece. Back up documents first.
- 7
Restore documents by hand
Copy back documents and photos, not programs, and not mods. Download Minecraft mods again only from the mod's own project page.
- 8
Watch your accounts for a few weeks
Check card statements and exchange logs, and turn on alerts. Tell friends on Discord not to open links that came from your account during this time.
Keep a Minecraft PC out of this kind of trap
Every vendor report we read starts with a player who went looking for a file outside the official places.
Do
- Download mods only from the project's own page or from a large mod site, and check that the page belongs to the author.
- Keep Windows and Microsoft Defender updated.
- Use a separate Windows account without admin rights for the game, and a different password for each service.
- Use two step sign in on your Microsoft and Discord accounts.
- Show file endings in File Explorer so you know what you are opening.
- Check a file's hash on a sandbox site before running it, and remember that a new file may still show few detections.
Don't
- Do not run a client or mod because a stranger in Discord or a video recommends it.
- Do not trust a page because it is on GitHub or has many stars.
- Do not copy a jar into the mods folder to see what it does.
- Do not change passwords on the PC you suspect.
- Do not rely on a quiet scan to say you are safe.
Questions about skyblock-qol.com (malicious Minecraft jar files)
What is skyblock-qol.com?
It is a web address whose home page calls itself "Skyblock QoL | Mods & Downloads". URLhaus, the malware tracking project run by abuse.ch, lists seven jar file addresses on it and on two subdomains, reported between 11 and 13 October 2026, all with the threat label malware_download.
The domain was registered on 9 October 2026. It is not a program on your PC. We did not download the files, so what they contain is not confirmed by us.
Is skyblock-qol.com safe?
No. Do not download or run files from it. Our own check was a single plain request that got a normal answer, which proves nothing: a lure site shows a normal page, and a jar is only dangerous once somebody runs it.
The rating comes from the seven URLhaus reports on a domain that is days old. Visiting the home page is not the same as running a file, but there is no reason to go there.
Is the Taunahi, Nebula or Polar client from this site a virus?
We cannot open the files for you, but URLhaus lists NebulaClientv3.1.7.jar, PolarLauncher-v3.jar, PizzaLoader.jar, Polinex-Clinet.jar and TaunahiAutoPatch-b7-fabric.jar from this address as malware downloads.
Check Point Research wrote in June 2025 that a fake cheat tool named Taunahi was used to spread a stealer through GitHub. We do not claim this site is the same operation. Treat any copy from this site as malware.
What does the tag SilentNet mean?
SilentNet is a label used on abuse.ch and in public sandbox reports for stealers that come as Minecraft Fabric mods. One of the seven entries, the donutdupe file, carries it.
The reports we found describe samples that posed as Fabric API or a Meteor Client addon and use a blockchain contract to find their server. We found no vendor write-up, so this is a label with indications, not a full analysis.
I ran one of these jar files. What do I do first?
Close Minecraft and the launcher, then change your passwords from another device, starting with email and your Microsoft account. Sign out of all sessions, because stolen tokens can work without the password.
Move crypto to a new wallet if one was on the PC. After that delete the jar, run a Microsoft Defender Offline scan, check Startup apps and Task Scheduler, and reset Windows if you are not sure the PC is clean.
How do I check whether a mod in my mods folder is bad?
Open the folder with Win+R and %appdata%\.minecraft\mods. Look for any jar you do not remember adding, or one with the names from this page. A bad mod can look like a normal one, so a name check is not proof.
Compare the file with the author's official download page, check its hash on a sandbox site, and when in doubt remove it and download it again from the author's own page.
Can a Minecraft mod steal my Microsoft account?
Yes, if the mod is malicious. A mod runs as a Java program with your rights, so it can read launcher data and browser data.
Check Point described fake Minecraft cheat tools that took launcher, Discord and Telegram tokens, browser credentials and wallet data. A token can let someone in without your password, so sign out of all sessions as well as changing the password.
Does this affect Mac, Linux, iPhone or Android?
A jar needs only Java, so it can run on Windows, macOS and Linux where Minecraft Java Edition runs.
We did not open the files and cannot say what they do on each system; the reports we read describe Windows victims. iPhone and Android do not run Minecraft Java mods as jar files, so there is nothing to remove there. If you entered a password on a page from this site, change it.
Will resetting Windows remove it, and are my accounts safe afterwards?
A reset with Remove everything wipes programs and startup entries, which does not depend on finding every piece. It does not undo what was taken before.
Passwords, session tokens and wallet seed phrases that the malware saw stay exposed until you change them from another device and sign out everywhere. Restore documents by hand and download mods again only from official pages.
Will Fortect remove skyblock-qol.com?
Fortect scans Windows for malware and unwanted programs and repairs the system files and settings they change, and its free scan shows what it finds on your PC before you decide anything.
For skyblock-qol.com, follow the plan above as well: the browser steps take back permissions and settings that no scanner treats as a threat, and uninstalling the program that brought it removes the source.
Run Microsoft Defender's full scan and, if anything was found, its offline scan as a second opinion. If the symptoms are gone after the plan and both scans are clean, there is nothing more to do.
