Turbo Your PC review: useless app that cannot improve computer's performance

Image of Turbo Your Pc

Turbo Your Pc is presented as a PC optimization software that improves computer’s performance and protects from cyber threats. However, security experts warn that this system tool is shady and might cause unwanted activities. Thus, you should not install it.

However, the program might sneak into the system unnoticed as well. It might travel in software bundles as an optional component. Thus, incorrect installation of freeware[1] might lead you to the installation of Turbo Your PC virus.

As the official website of this program says, TurboYourPc can analyze your PC's memory in minutes and then clear all the junk from it with only one click. It also promises to increase available disk space, optimize its speed, help people to avoid annoying errors, lead them to hassle-free PC usage and finally prevents freezing, slow startups and blue screens of death.

The website looks really catchy, and it actually seems that this program belongs to a very professional team. However, after you download Turbo Your PC and test it for a while, it becomes clear that it is just another application which is created to display advertisements,[2] pop-up ad windows, banners that suggest people purchase its license.

According to Turbo Your Pc reviews, the program can also slow down your PC's speed itself as it tends to use a generous amount of system resources when it tries to load its scanners and ads. Moreover, if you click on these advertisements, you may end up on web pages that are selling its license, so we believe that you should avoid them.

Despite the fact that this application decreases people's browsing experience by interrupting them with its endless advertisements, Turbo Your Pc virus has another undesirable feature. Once installed, it may try to manipulate your personal information and may collect the one that is based on your activity on the web. Beware that it can get the access to your browsing history, your search queries, bookmarks, download history and so on.

Aggregated details might be shared with third-parties and used for displaying targeted ads. The problem with commercial content is that it might redirect to potentially dangerous websites where you can suffer from cyber criminals. If you care about your information security, you should remove Turbo Your Pc in no time.

Explanation on how software bundling helps to spread a questionable PC optimization tool

Turbo My Pc is a potentially unwanted program that usually gets into users computers as an additional component of freeware and shareware.[4] According to specialists from dieviren.de,[5] free applications agree to promote suspicious components and use bundling as a marketing method in exchange for money. As a result, instead of getting the preferred program, you will get another program, plug-in, add-on or a browser extension.

In order to avoid unintentional installation of potentially unwanted apps, you should be attentive when installing software:

  1. Make sure you read the Terms and Agreements and Privacy Policy.
  2. Set your installation settings correctly. Don't choose „default“ or „standard“ installation options because this is where the agreements to install supplementary tools are concealed.
  3. Opt-out „advanced“ or „custom“ settings, and uncheck boxes with unfamiliar additional downloads.
