Spyware Razor is a straightforward anti-spyware program with minimal set of most needed functions. However, it does its job quite well.
The program checks the Windows registry, active processes, cookies and the main hard disk. A user can select the quick scan, thorough scan or custom scan. However, there are no noticeable differences between them. All scans take up to 30 seconds. On most our computers Spyware Razor managed to detect spyware in only 5 seconds. Such result is really amazing. However, the application didn't check remaining hard disks and was unable to find all malicious objects. Apparently Spyware Razor doesn't thoroughly examine files content and relies only on its spyware definitions database, which is updated on a regular basis. Spyware Razor was designed only to detect and eliminate spyware, it doesn't have lots of additional features. However, it includes one special utility called NetFix, which restores corrupted Internet settings. Other functions are Ignore List, Quarantine, Auto Scan.
Spyware Razor's interface is attractive and convenient.
Program vendors decided to call free version a trial. We cannot agree with them. The real trial should provide all the functions available in full version, but work for limited period of time. However, tested free version of Spyware Razor refuses to remove any malware it found and asks to register and purchase full product.
