Some versions of BTCWare can be decrypted for free using a decryption tool created by malware researcher Michael Gillespie. However, if your PC has been infected with one of the recent versions of malware, this tool may not work. In this situation, you can try these additional recovery methods. However, you should expect to restore only a few corrupted files. Though, if you have backups, you should not worry about your files.
However, before restoring your files, you have to remove BTCWare from the PC. For that, you will need to obtain a reputable antivirus and scan the system with an updated tool. You can find the instructions how to disable the virus and run security software here.
Lastly, we want to point out that paying the ransom for cyber criminals is never an option. Even if you cannot recover your files, you should be patient and wait for the official decryptor to be released. Having a business with developers of ransomware might only end up with money loss.
Sincerely,
2-spyware team.
