Outfox TV is a potentially unwanted program which will mystically appear on your PC

Outfox TV is NOT a virus or malware. However, you should know that this program has been accused of various annoying and suspicious activities. This has encouraged some of security vendors to include it to 'potentially unwanted program' (also known as PUP) or 'adware' categories. The first and the most important thing that should be remembered about this application is that it may infiltrate your PC in a bundle with other free downloads. So, you may be surprised after detecting it on your machine and may also start thinking that it hijacked it just like viruses do.
In reality, it has nothing to do with infiltration methods that are used by cyber threats. People just agree to install it on their computers because they don't bother to monitor the installation of the freeware. That's why you should always check what programs are you installing and what attachments are offered in a bundle with them. If you would leave the checkmark saying 'Save Outfox.TV as a tab in web browser' or 'Show Desktop Launchbar on startup', you can easily let outfox.tv hijack your web browser.
It may easily settle down on each of your web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc. In addition to that, you may notice continuous pop-up notifications during your browsing. This activity can't harm the computer and can't lead it to the infiltration of malware. However, it may easily disturb your browsing on the web.
After clicking on any of Outfox TV ads, you may be redirected to its official website or predetermined site that seeks to increase its page rank, visitors' number, or sales. If you don't want to visit unknown websites and want to avoid Outfox TV redirects, you should remove this program from the system.
You can do that with the help of a manual removal guide, which is given below. With the help of FortectIntego all the damage caused by this program will be removed. This is especially recommended if Outfox TV virus has appeared on your PC system without a clear permission asked.
Most likely Outfox TV has appeared on your computer with other applications
You can download this program from its official website outfox.tv. However, it should also be remembered that many other applications are used to spread it without asking an appropriate permission. To avoid such downloads like this one, you should start paying more attention to freeware's installation process.
This can be easily done by choosing a Custom or Advanced installation and unchecking such and similar checkmarks as 'I agree to install Outfox TV on my computer'. If this program gets there, it typically drops its sidebar, which provides the list of various TV channel streams. In addition to this, the program may also start displaying commercial ads, modify your homepage and initiate similar activities.

If you noticed Outfox TV redirect on your computer and you are sure that you want to remove it, you can visit outfox.tv/uninstall or use the steps given below. Norm

Darren

Eliminate this pest by downloading IOBIT Uninstaller - the free version, , find outfox, press powerful uninstall and click on shred as well. It will be gone and you will then re-boot your computer and all is well again.

Lisa
Hooray! ive finally got rid of it!!!
Outfox did not show up in my program list so I could not simply uninstall it like any other program. The Outfox Uninstall feature does not work. It got stuck at around 90% and I had to reboot my laptop t get rid of it.
Downloaded Spyhunter. Waited an hour for it to do its job...only to find out that you have to pay for it!!!! >:(
So uninstalled that. Went on a google. Found different instructions. Downloaded Revo and Malwarebytes - both free.
I found Outfox in the menu, right clicked, chose Uninstall with Revo. It uninstalled successfully.
Then I ran Malwarebytes to make sure my system was clean.
And now its gone!!!
Oscar, please focus on creating software that people actually want. In all honesty, I didnt even try to use your software - i just hunted down methods of removal as soon as it appeared and I am sure that many other people do the same. It must be a waste of your talent, surely?
Lisa
^^ Just wanted to add that Outfox did not show up in the control panel> uninstall programs list but it appeared in the start menu. i managed to uninstall it from here with Revo.
Oscars post has disappeared. :(
Lisa
Ooh!
And dont forget to remove it from your browser. It appears in Firefox as an Addon. :)
Wendy
Hi Lisa,
I just downloaded Revo as you suggested and it could not find Outfox. Im so frustrated! Was there anything else you did so it would show up in the program list?
ninjafc
go to computer, c drive, program files. once you find outfox, open task manager, go to services and stop outfox services from the list as well as go into the properties and disable whatever you can disable for outfox. Now try and shift delete outfox from program files in c drive. you will get a pop-up saying a particular program is still running outfox. Go to task manager processes and look for that program (i believe it is desktopcontainer or something of the sort). to make it easier to find, make task manager window as large as possible and drag out the description section of under processes. go through it carefully, once you find the program that is still running outfox, stop it and go to its properties also and disable whatever can be disabled. At this point you should be able to shift delete outfox with no problem. leave a comment if this helped...ty.
doddy
