Ssoption Removal Guide

What is Ssoption?

Ssoption is the particular adware-type program that delivers advertisements in the form of annoying pop-ups

SsoptionThe ad-supported program which uses bundling to enter the system.

Ssoption is an ad-supported program that might enter your computer system by using the stealth technique. This is the main reason why this application is considered to be potentially unwanted. Moreover, the adware can bring lots of unwanted components such as unknown browser extensions and hide them in your web browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and others. Nevertheless, the Ssoption virus can redirect the user to questionable websites some of which might be potentially harmful, as well as include virus-related content. This ad-supported application modifies the infected browser to be able to display annoying ads. You can reverse all changes that were done to the browser's settings such as the homepage and URL bar by deleting the PUP[1] permanently.

Many users ask “is Ssoption a virus”? While the answer to it is “no,” there are several things that users should know before allowing the application to settle on their systems. Adware is not malicious on its own. However, it modifies the settings of browsers so that connections to third-party domains become a frequent occurrence. Unfortunately, not all of these sites are safe, so the infiltration MIGHT result in far more dangerous infections, such as ransomware or a rootkit.[2]

Ssoption 2.0.9.0 is promoted as a software updater, featuring other allegedly useful functions. It is created by SoftwareX Corp, and not much is known about it. It poses typical traits of potentially unwanted programs, as they often disguise themselves as useful applications, but bring nothing but frustration to the users in one way or another.

If you have been recently facing an increasing amount of pop-ups, banners, and others, there is a big chance that adware has infected your PC. Go and check your web browsers for suspicious activity. Or even better – perform a full system scan. If the antivirus detects the adware, you should remove the virus as there is no reason for keeping it.

The operation of Ssoption adware can compromise the proper functioning of Google Chrome or another browser, and make it run slow. Therefore, it is another reason to perform the proper PUP removal. Additionally, we suggest using tools such as SpyHunter 5Combo Cleaner, Malwarebytes to detect all PUP-related content that might be hiding in the computer system.

Adware is also known for data collection practices. It can collect various details that relate to the user's browsing habits. That means developers are well aware of what movies you like, or what you ordered for dinner last night. While it might seem insignificant initially, be aware that somebody out there is creating a map of your daily activities, and these people can not be trusted.

Freeware installations lead to issues with the machine when software gets pre-bundled

According to researches that were made by tech experts [3], adware-related programs and other potentially unwanted applications are very likely to use a deceptive marketing method called “bundling” as their main distribution technique. PUPs usually come together in a package with regular software that the user downloads from a free source on the Internet.

If you are wondering how to avoid this secret installation, we have great news for you – it is truly possible! For this purpose, make sure that you use the Custom or Advanced installation mode over the Quick/Default mode. This will allow you to track all incoming downloads and choose which ones to leave and which ones to opt-out of.

Note that adware can also spread through rogue websites. You increase the risk of getting infected by these programs if you like to browse via all different types of pages and do not care if they are original or not. What you should do is avoid surfing via third-party promoted websites as they might carry potentially dangerous content inside.

Get rid of the annoying Ssoption PUP to stop reroutes and ads

You can easily remove Ssoption virus by downloading and installing a reputable anti-malware tool. These programs are created to help users get rid of all different types of unwanted programs and other issues. Great news, if you choose to perform the process this way, it will last only about a couple of minutes, which you cannot say about the manual method.

However, feel free to pick any technique that you want. You are welcome to take care of the Ssoption removal by yourself if you are likely to. You will need to eliminate all browser extensions, plug-ins, and add-ons from infected web browsers. Make sure you complete each step carefully to ensure that all content was eliminated successfully.

How to prevent from getting adware

Access your website securely from any location

When you work on the domain, site, blog, or different project that requires constant management, content creation, or coding, you may need to connect to the server and content management service more often. The best solution for creating a tighter network could be a dedicated/fixed IP address.

If you make your IP address static and set to your device, you can connect to the CMS from any location and do not create any additional issues for the server or network manager that needs to monitor connections and activities. VPN software providers like Private Internet Access can help you with such settings and offer the option to control the online reputation and manage projects easily from any part of the world.

Recover files after data-affecting malware attacks

While much of the data can be accidentally deleted due to various reasons, malware is one of the main culprits that can cause loss of pictures, documents, videos, and other important files. More serious malware infections lead to significant data loss when your documents, system files, and images get encrypted. In particular, ransomware is is a type of malware that focuses on such functions, so your files become useless without an ability to access them.

Even though there is little to no possibility to recover after file-locking threats, some applications have features for data recovery in the system. In some cases, Data Recovery Pro can also help to recover at least some portion of your data after data-locking virus infection or general cyber infection.
