Remove Topic Torch

removal by Gabriel E. Hall - -   Also known as Topic Torch ads, ads by Topic Torch, Topic Torch virus | Type: Adware

What is Topic Torch?

Created by WebCake, Topic Torch has been labeled as a potentially unwanted program, which can also be called as adware. No matter that the developers of this program have been promoting it as a valuable tool that is capable of helping people to enhance their Internet browsing routine, we have to warn you that you can be very disappointed after installing it on your computer. According to the official page of Topic Torch virus, it provides conveniently located search panels that group user’s favorite links by different topics. However, after a simple research it becomes obvious that this program is closely related to Yantoo Pagerage, WebCake and other potentially unwanted programs that have already been included to our website’s database. In most of the cases, they have made us to do that because of their annoying activity and unfair ways of distribution. Be aware that Topic Torch can also get inside your PC system without your approval. After settling down on every web browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc.), this adware can easily start collecting various information about user’s browsing habits. Typically, it collects search terms, mostly visited websites, data that is entered when visiting these websites, computer’s IP address, its location and similar information. Once it collects a needed amount of data, it then displays relevant search results for him/her. However, you should try to stay away from these ads as far as you can because there is no guarantee that they are not promoting suspicious websites.

In order to avoid Topic Torch redirects to its affiliate websites, tracking of your browsing habits, slow downs on each of your web browsers and similar activities, you should think about the removal of this program. As you must have understood, we don’t recommend keeping it on the system because there is no guarantee what else it may try to initiate on your computer. If you haven’t installed it manually, you should undoubtedly remove Topic Torch. For that you can use one of these applications: ReimageIntego, Malwarebytes.

Topic Torch

How can Topic Torch hijack my computer?

There are two ways how you can get Topic Torch on your PC’s system. The first one needs your knowledge. You have to go to its official website and download this program manually. However, there is another method, which is actively used to distribute Topic Torch. In fact, it can be even called ‘infiltration’ because it relies on the third party software, such as freeware and shareware. In order to feel confident about the program and avoid such apps as Topic Torch, you should always choose custom installation method and unclick unfamiliar entries. If you are bored by constant and annoying ads, we recommend fixing your computer by uninstalling Topic Torch from the system. You must do the same if you haven’t installed it by yourself.

Choose a proper web browser and improve your safety with a VPN tool

Online spying has got momentum in recent years and people are getting more and more interested in how to protect their privacy online. One of the basic means to add a layer of security – choose the most private and secure web browser. Although web browsers can't grant full privacy protection and security, some of them are much better at sandboxing, HTTPS upgrading, active content blocking, tracking blocking, phishing protection, and similar privacy-oriented features. However, if you want true anonymity, we suggest you employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN – it can encrypt all the traffic that comes and goes out of your computer, preventing tracking completely.

Lost your files? Use data recovery software

While some files located on any computer are replaceable or useless, others can be extremely valuable. Family photos, work documents, school projects – these are types of files that we don't want to lose. Unfortunately, there are many ways how unexpected data loss can occur: power cuts, Blue Screen of Death errors, hardware failures, crypto-malware attack, or even accidental deletion.

To ensure that all the files remain intact, you should prepare regular data backups. You can choose cloud-based or physical copies you could restore from later in case of a disaster. If your backups were lost as well or you never bothered to prepare any, Data Recovery Pro can be your only hope to retrieve your invaluable files.
