Hello! Yesterday I managed to get Hermes 2.0 ransomware virus, or at least I believe that’s what happened. I tried using the decrypter for Hermes but it didn’t help me to recover my files. What can you comment on this matter? I would like to know how to remove Hermes 2.0 ransomware – are there any special features of this variant that I should be aware of?

If you cannot decrypt your files using Hermes decryptor, most likely you were infected with Hermes 2.0 ransomware. Please, do not try to decrypt your files while the virus is still on the system! It can result in an instant data loss. Hermes 2.0 ransomware hardly differs from its initial version, but it seems that ransomware crooks have polished the malicious source code and now files can no longer be decrypted with the decrypter that works for victims affected by the initial Hermes virus version.
