I tried removing all my spyware with searchbot and it says i have nothing, but my computer keeps taking me to a different homepage. It takes me to yoursystemupdate.com. At the website it says this

Please follow these instructions. You may want to print them, as you might have to reboot your system into Safe Mode.
1. Download and install a reliable spyware remover like Spyware Doctor, Spy Sweeper, Microsoft AntiSpyware and CounterSpy. Your current anti-spyware Spybot - Search & Destroy is unable to eliminate all the infections you have.
2. Uninstall all corrupt spyware removers you have. As I can see you have at least two of them - AdwareAlert and WinAntiSpyware 2005. Those are rogue products. DO NOT ever use any program, which is on the 2-Spyware.com corrupt anti-spyware list!
3. Reboot your system into Safe Mode.
4. Run full system scan with recommended anti-spyware and remove everything it will detect.
5. Use SpyAxe manual removal instructions to get rid of the browser hijacker redirecting you to undesirable web sites. You have the following SpyAxe components left (these can also be removed using HijackThis):

i followed your advice using the hijinkthis application to get rid of the programs. So far everything is back to normal. If I have any problems I will be back. Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. |

You should restart your system in Safe Mode in order to be able to kill the mssearchnet.exe process. Right after this you have to delete the mssearchnet.exe executable, which is located in C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder.
You also should uninstall Media Gateway, undesirable adware program made by 180solutions, which is the infamous adware distributor.
As for AdwareAlert and WinAntiSpyware 2005, please run a search and locate their installation paths. You may find functional uninstallers there. If they are not present, you may want to delete found folders. |
