: Just to publish another waste of time!!! Me=victim of spycrush. Norton did not pick it up. Norton home page gives advice on how to scan and sort it. But it still failed to find it. Norton's expert one to one in their chatroom discusses with me and says only way is for them to take auto command of my computer and remove manually - for £70 [er nooooo]. They would not explaiin why their site says prog will remove but could not come up with the goods. For test I download Sybot [it makes no comment] and spyware doctor [finds 250 + dubious files but no Crush] I check for manual removal advice in Wilipedia and follow. Get to folders but no sign of files. I download 90 day trial of MS all singing and dancing prog and it finds one trojan. But still the little shield flashes bottom right of the screen blue ?/red X pretending to be XP telling me I have a problem and if I were to open again would link to Internet spycrush... Oh and as for spyware doctor, the free scan will not delete so I bought; but when I copyied the 40 digit code, the computer did not hold it in memory and the prog will not recognise the 40 I had handwritten - not respond to the 'problem with registering' link... and still tells me I have 180 doubtful files at startup!!!

Go to
www.ewido.net

Download AVG Anti-Spyware, Update it... And run a full system scan.. Deleting what you think is malicious and quarantining what your not sure about...

And run an online scan here:

http://usa.kaspersky.com/products_services/free-virus-scanner.php

Delete what it finds.

Make sure you run the scans in safe mode (Reboot comp and press F8 a whole bunch and a screen will come... Then choose Safe Mode)
