 Post subject: Yet another Spycrush thread - win 98 |

Please help! I am not too good on a computer, I need simple instructions. I was able to download hijackthis and get a log. Is this right? What do I do?
We had trendmicro and it seemed to do nothing. We just got AVG and it found a lot of stuff but spycrush is nasty!

Please follow these steps:
1. Download Pocket KillBox or KillBox utility.
2. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5D582DA0-C7F0-11DB-B1F1-00A0CC7A6F0F} - (value not set) (file missing)
O21 - SSODL: hellenophile - {6f396a67-f473-48c9-9950-636ce17e584e} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\yesgnhr.dll
3. Now use either Pocket KillBox or KillBox to delete the following file:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\yesgnhr.dll
4. After you get done, restart your computer, run new HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here. |

Thank you so much!!! You guys are amazing.
The blinking icon in my taskbar is no longer there, so I'm thinking that's a good sign.
Here's my new log. I did everything you said except delete this (because I couldn't find it):O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5D582DA0-C7F0-11DB-B1F1-00A0CC7A6F0F} - (value not set) (file missing) -- I did some spyware scans yesterday so maybe those got rid of that part?
