Sorry GTO. I am new to the forum and I wasnt for sure the best way to get help with this Spy Axe infection. I tried the Spyware Doctor software and that didnt seem to help.

2. Download the smitRem tool and unpack its files into a chosen directory.

3. Launch Internet Explorer.
* Within it click on the Tools menu and then select the Manage Add-ons entry.
* This should open the add-on manager. Find the HomePageBHO add-on, select it with your mouse or keyboard and then check the Disable option located below. Press OK. This should disable the SpyAxe-related malicious add-on.

4. Reboot your system into Safe Mode. This step is very important!

5. Run the smitRem tool (execute the RunThis.bat file).

6. Delete these files:[/b]

C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm

Delete this directory (if present):

I see you do not have any Windows Service Pack installed. Running Windows without Service Pack 2 is a very dangerous practice! Please install it as soon as possible.
