I got the spysheriff virus 3 days ago and manage to get rid of it from my system.
The only problem I have now is that I cant connect to the internet. I am using belkin wireless adapter.
All task tray icons indicate the internet is working.

I can ping 127.0.0.1 and my router but not my IP.

I am not able toaccess the router settings through my browsers.
My housemates computers connect ok.

I am so frustrated I really need some help I've been trying to fix it for 3 days.

First of all, make sure you or some software did not change your computer's IP address and network settings. Navigate to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections. Select your connection and take a look on its properties.

If everything looks normal, run a HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here. This can be quite helpful.
