I have avast antivirus, is that a good one or should I get another? I also have spyware doctor and ad-adaware SE professional, should I download anything else?
I just had 60 things come up on spyware doctor... ill post another log. |

I have noticed that my windows task manager is always on top of everything now, it cant fall behind other windows. All of the pop ups have stopped, but my windows firewall is turned off and it says...
"Do to an unidentified problem, windows cannot display Windows Firewall Settings"

Hi Caution, welcome to 2-spyware forums!
Alot of your viruses seem to be in ur temp folders download the ATF-cleaner, run the programme and select mozilla if your on mozilla etc. from the tabs. Now select all and choose empty selected, this should empty your temp and cookies (this will also delete your history). Once you've done this run another sd scan and post your log here also run another hjt and do the same.

avast! antivirus is fine. One of the best free antivirus products available. Spyware Doctor and Ad-Aware SE Professional is a very nice anti-spyware set. There is no need to purchase anything else. |

I did everything and:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dgfgql.exe and

were deleted, but I couldnt find:

and when I tried to delete C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\nclabydll.dll, it wouldnt let me delete it, then IExplorer went and i couldnt even correctly restart my computer, I had to shut it off....

have awake 12 hours dealing with this virus and trying to get work done... Did work in my lab for 3 hours at school on my group flash site, come home to work more on it, try to download some styles for photoshop and I get hit with every virus in the book... Have been dealing with thing damn virus for 4 hours, on top of working on my flash site for 8 hours, so tired, I just want this to end hehe |

ok i deleted thrm all...thank you  I still can't believe how much stuff i find with EVERY program you tell me to run... another 100 files after scanning with that one, this is unbelieveable.
Two of the files said they were connected to archives and it asked me if i wanted to delete the archive to delete them... they were both in temp internet files, so it was ok that i deleted them right?
Anything else I need to do? |

Yes, it was OK to delete them. Files in the Temporary Internet Files folder are not required by the system or installed software to work properly. But very often those are used by different parasites.
Since you have cleaned up your system, there is nothing else you need to do. Just update your security-related software and enable real-time monitoring. |

hey, yeah im back... even after all that was done, I really didnt see any noticible change in performance. I've been scanning on a regular basis lately, but today was the first day I've scanned with adaware in a while. I picked up like 6 reg keys, several of which were trojans
After I got the big virus, my windows firewall stopped working. I tried to repair it, but nothing has worked. I saw you recommended Zone Alarm over windows firewall so I downloaded Zone alarm. After zonealarm was loaded, i've been having a problem with my adaware. Every time i run the scan with adaware, roughly half way through each scan i get a "serious windows error" and my screen blue screens. I reported it to windows, one of which forwarded me to a link saying microsoft didnt know what the problem was.
After I do all the things you guys suggest, is there any way to fix all the things that all the malware has screwed up? Like any forum or anything at all so I can avoid reformatting my computer? It looks like im going to have to do it anyway, I'm not winning the war with spyware and ive been fighting it since I got this computer. Paid nearly 3 grand for a computer that works worse than my 5 year old desktop, makes me really annoyed.

a few people ive talked to say zone alarm is garbage, is it really one of the better free firewalls? I've had 17 intrusions blocked in about 2 hours (since I loaded zone alarm) and 5 of them are high rated... is that bad? |

just downloaded webroot since adaware has been making my system crash, found something called zquest, trojan downloader nextern, and quicklink search toolbar.... spydoctor wasnt picking them up |
