Hello, visitor!

The Hijack This log analyzer has analyzed your log. Please take a closer look on the results.

Your system seems to be infected with malicious parasites. Please follow the steps below in order to eliminate the infection and clean up your computer.

1. Download the Pocket KillBox utility. You will need it later to delete parasite-related files and folders.
2. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Child Protector] C:\Program Files\Child Protector\winlogin.exe
O21 - SSODL: SystemCheck2 - {54645654-2225-4455-44A1-9F4543D34546} - (no file)
3. The following entries are not malicious, but some of them are not used anymore. You may use HijackThis to fix a few of them. However, please keep in mind that some of the entries marked as Questionable or Not Needed are fully legitimate and might be required by installed software to work properly, while some others might be related to certain parasites. It is up to you to decide whether you need any of them, or not.

O23 - Service: Windows Network Security Service (lsass) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system\lsass.exe (file missing)
4. Now restart your system in Safe Mode. This step is very important!
5. Use the Pocket KillBox utility to delete the following files:

C:\Program Files\Child Protector\winlogin.exe

The following files and Windows registry entries are marked as "unknown". Currently, the HijackThis Log Analyzer cannot provide required information on these items. The files and entries in the list below can be both malicious and fully legitimate. Because of this, please do not take any action! Wait for the forum responders or other forum users to provide you with necessary details and further instructions.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Repair Registry Pro] C:\Program Files\Repair Registry Pro\RepairRegistryPro.exe -s
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [f0a8eff1.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\f0a8eff1.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [f0a8eff1.exe] C:\Documents and Settings\Sinogbas\Local Settings\Application Data\f0a8eff1.exe

After going through all the steps, run another HijackThis scan and post a fresh log to the HijackThis analyzer. It is possible that some parasites your system was infected with were not removed completely and may restore themselves later.

Hi, Brimstone. Welcome to the 2-Spyware.com forums! And sorry for the delay Confused.

Your system is infected. Please follow these steps:

1. Download Pocket KillBox or KillBox utility.

2. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:.htm
F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\System32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system\lsass.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [f0a8eff1.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\f0a8eff1.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft (R) Windows DLL Loader] C:\WINDOWS\dll\rundll32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft (R) Windows Network Security Service] C:\WINDOWS\system\lsass.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [f0a8eff1.exe] C:\Documents and Settings\Sinogbas\Local Settings\Application Data\f0a8eff1.exe
O15 - Trusted IP range: 195.95.218.173 (HKLM)
O16 - DPF: Win32 Classes -
O16 - DPF: {64311111-1111-1121-1111-111191113457} - file://c:\eied_s7.cab

3. Now restart your system in Safe Mode. This step is very important!

4. Once in Safe Mode, use either Pocket KillBox or KillBox to delete the following files:
C:\WINDOWS\dll\rundll32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system\lsass.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\f0a8eff1.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Sinogbas\Local Settings\Application Data\f0a8eff1.exe

Also delete the following directory:
C:\WINDOWS\dll

5. After you get done, restart your computer, run new HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here.

P.S. Your system is not up-to-date! You have to install Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Windows XP and Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Internet Explorer. Also apply all latest updates and security fixes.

When I was in safe mode I couldn't delete the files that you told me to with killbox. It tells me that the file doesn't seem to exist. Confused

Hi, Brimstone.

That's OK. If KillBox cannot find the file specified, then the file simply does not exist. It has been deleted already. Just go through the remaining steps and post a fresh log here.

I'm still having a little bit of a problem... its when I watch video clip on or play a cd through windows media player... it still lags quite a bit. Is that due to spyware? or is that a different problem?

Also, I was wondering if you could give me a link for those updates that I need.

Hi, Brimstone.

Your problems with Windows Media Player seems to be related to certain hardware or software issues. Their shouldn't be spyware-related. For example, your graphics card drivers might be outdated, your system might be heavily loaded when certain programs are running in background, etc. I suggest trying out a different player such as VideoLAN. This might help.

As for updates, those are official Microsoft Windows updates. Please visit this site to get the latest updates.
